man, i really don't know the new hip hop kids...

i like the golden era guys, from 1994-2001 rap was pretty good... Wu-Tang best days and a lot of good east coast rap like A tribe Called Quest, Jeru the Damaja, Group Home, Mobb Deep.

All those people were really good rappers, now the likes of Wu-Tang and Mobb Deep only sound "decent" at times, but i wouldn't buy any discs. Even Nas used to be good, but after Nastradamus (album that started the MTV style rap for him) he just made shit after shit.

does someone have some good new hip hop names names so i can go after?

thanks.

I Am.. started it with the Puffy song that was alright, Nastradamus was when he was flat out mediocre. But since then he hasn't made anything like that. I don't know where you've been.

You got some good tastes, and I understand why you don't like the rap your hearing today...but you gotta have a look around it ain't all set out for you like it used to be.
Here's some artists I'd advise you to check out:

Mos Def
Ed O.G
Edan
Little Brother
Talib Kweli
Common
Anything Boot Camp Click
Ras Kass
Tradegy Khadafi

There's just a few i'm listening to recently, if you want more names just say it.
