This Phrase album (local aussie release) is dope, I can understand why the reviews of it are saying this could really appeal to overseas listeners.

Ya'll need to check this out, real good hip hop.

Oh and it's got a track with Saigon on the album so thats another reason to check it out.

Three Six Mafia new album is releasing on Sept. 27th. Most Known Unkowns, and as expected its another good album. The intro is too tight and they have a Body Parts 3 Remix.

Album isn't bad, although I'm not a huge Three 6 fan.

When's that Bun-B album dropping :x

I still listen to The Testament constantly. 62 Pick Up, Dead Man Walking, those are some fucking story raps.

On Bun B, I got this 3 disc compilation of his. Well, compiled by some random DJ. But I still have no idea when it's coming. Here's a better question: when are the new Rakim, Busta Rhymes, and Pharoahe Monch albums dropping? It's been way too long since we've heard from them. Three years since Busta, 6 since Rakim and Monch.

The new Pharoahe Munch is actually coming out in a couple months, I've seen the advance of the album on a few forums too.

Bun B is my concern, the rest i dont care about. Busta Rhymes last album was pure dog shit, i'll never listen to another of his albums again.

@ SkipToMyLou:
I heard Phrase - 'Here Now' on ClubV the other day, and i thought it was an awesome song. Havent been able to get the album yet though, will soon enough. Theyre also calling him Australias answer to Nas.

@ Everyone Else:
I got 'I Try' by Talib Kweli last night, today im getting the album. Having previously never heard his music, let me say the guy is on another level.

An i should also be getting Mos Def's 'The New Danger' album today, which im looking forward to.

Not that anyone cares, but i was previously a hip-hop hater (rock fan), until i picked up Kanye's College Dropout album, and now hip-hop is unquestionably number one in my books.

Not a great hip hop album, but if you like rock you should like it.

I heard most of his songs from his album, still never heard those two, Trill and State to State. Now The Game has beef with Young Gunz when did that happen?? Anyway just listing to Old Gunz ft. The Game and Rockstar it has sick beat which is from the song called "Feel it in the air" ft. Beanie Sigel and Black Rob.

That album is all over the place. Some songs are absolute crap (some of the rock songs in the first 8 or so tracks) and some are fantastic (Ghetto Rock, Close Edge). I like it enough. The amazing cancel out the awful to give it a 3.5-4 out of 5. IMO of course.

i get ya drift. Well that's by far his worst, only because of 4 shitty tracks. The rest is pretty much standard Kweli. Actually, lyrically that album is good, but the beats aren't.

Oh ok cool. The Mos Def one, i couldnt completely get. the .rar file was passworded and for some reason, the pass only unlocks 5 songs. that pissed me off, but i managed to get Ghetto Rock which Colin said is good.
