X-ED is still around, but I'm not putting much time into it anymore nothings really popping off :(

If you want a good active site where you'll see some NLSC members (Matt, Colin, Goat, Skins...) and Phyl from ALO go to www.hiphopcartel.net

And yeah that was Game's last mixtape (before Ghost Unit)

You heard Untold Story Vol. 2? It barely sounds like Game.

Wu tang is pretty boring besides some of their stuff which are excellent.

Common is pretty good from the four tracks Ive got(Go, The Corner, I Used to Love Her, The 6th Sense)...I also got one with Blackstar featuring him - Respiration....which is a addictive track...also downloaded some fugees.

The Fugees feat A Tribe Called Quest, John Forte and Busta Rhymes - Rumble In The Jungle (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

Anyway what about some good Nas songs.....I dont want this gangster stuff ...that Jay-Z diss song is horrible it sounds like a Mike Jones track.

I like Memory Lane, Just A Moment, Get Down....stuff like that....any more similar kind of tracks?

I listended to some Tribe Called Quest....outta the four tracks I heard I only liked Award Tour...the others are old skool RUN DMC like stuff which I dont like that much.

Anyway Colin and Skip, what are the good Nas tracks to get?

Wu-Tang BORING!!!!????? I don't even want to give you tips.

For Nas:
Anything off of Illmatic, NY State of Mind, Life's a Bitch, The World Is Yours, Halftime, Memory Lane, One Love, One Time 4 Your Mind, Represent, It Ain't Hard to Tell. That's everything off of Illmatic.

Other than that.
I Gave You Power
The Message
If I Ruled The World
Nas Is Like
Come Get Me
Ether (It ain't no fucking Mike Jones-like track. h8er...)
One Mic
Rewind
Rule
Purple
Drunk By Myself
Fetus
Get Down
Book of Rhymes
Warrior Song ft. Alicia Keys
Dance (A beautiful song about his mother, who died of cancer a year or less before the song)
Live Now
Just a Moment
Getting Married
War
Bridging the Gap

edit: I should probably narrow it down to top 5. It would be mostly Illmatic song, but you need a littel diversity.

It Ain't Hard To Tell
Dance
Rewind
One Mic
If I Ruled The World (Probably his most commercially successful song ever)

Which artists you into ?

Immortal Technique, Nas, Slick Rick, Rahzel, Politricks, Rasco, Unknown Prophets, Pharcyde, PMD, Swollen Members, AZ, Common. I know not all of them are UG, but that's my main list.

It's MC Eiht, and yes I know him.

Nice list Indy, but I think IT is a bum. And Politricks, Rasco, and, ironically, Unknown Prophets are unknown to me.

Do you just not like his politics? Because there's no way you can deny how amazing of a lyricist he is.

His flow and lyricism is what brings him down in most people's eyes that I know. I don't like his politics, and most of his rhyme schemes and the like are very basic. Revolutionary Vol. 2 was one of only two albums I've disliked so much that I just deleted it. Along with Juice Man - Chronicles of the Juice Man.

A lot of people (not all of them, but a lot) just suction on to him because he raps about politics, and they think that automatically qualifies him as a lyricist. I don't know if you're messing this up, but being a great lyricist doesn't have anything to do with your subject matter. Redman is a great lyricist despite having pretty much rapped about nothing but weed and sex for 13 years now.

I'm Obnoxious, muthafucka can't you tell?
Run through, little havanah yellin VIVA FIDEL!
Jerkin off on the sheets, when I stay at hotels.
Drinkin Bacardi at AA meetings, smoke in the L.
I'm broke as hell. And my attitude is no good.
Like workin for rich white people after watchin rosewood!
I'm a mercenary. I don't care how I get richer.
Like American Companies that did business with Hitler!
Get the Picture Nigga?
I'm the best of both worlds. Without the Hidden Camera, or the 12 year old girl!
Let's face it your basic, you aint half the man that I am
I'll throw ya gang sign up, then I'll spit on my hand!
Gimme a hundred grand. Gimme ya watch, gimme ya chain.
Is that ya girl? Bitch get over here, gimme some brain.
I'll bust off on her face, and then after the segment
She'll prolly rub it in her pussy, try to get herself pregnant.
Because I said it I meant it, that's the way I deal with enemies.
Like pro lifers, that support the death penalty!
And don't talk about war, when niggas know that your pus.
A fuckin hypocrite, draft dodger, just like George Bush.
And don't push me nigga, cuz I'm close to the edge.
And I'll jump off with a rope that's wrapped around ya head!
Send a dead fetus to my ex on valentines day
Safteys off nigga! So get the fuck out my way.

That's not a great flow and lyrics? I think its great.

His flow is average, it's not bad, not great. There is only one multi there (and it compltely depends on the flow), a couple marginal metaphors in the first 8, but bars 9-24 get progressively worse. Bars 14-16 are just vile and disgusting. The only line I like there is "Like working for rich white people after watching rosewood."

Rasco is from the group Planet Asia yea ?

If so he's a real good artist, Planet Asia got some great tracks.

And Immortal Technique is the shit, don't listen to Colin. Living in Canada has really got to his head. :P

You have to remember that since Skip is in the southern hemisphere. Everything he types that crosses the equator has the meaning automatically reversed. Basically it added an extra 'the' and 'don't' in this case.

And watch out for Andrew, he's got an acid tongue.

Wu-Tang boring??????????????????

I dont like the time Nas spends dissing Jay-Z, diss tracks are for sensitive types and media junkies like Eminem, 50 Cent and Jay-Z but its not exactly Mike Jones level. If you want good Tribe material have a listen to their second album 'The Low End Theory', I still flip through it every month.

Have a listen to some De La Soul and The Roots, you might like them both. Umm not sure what you can get on Limewire or any other peer-to-peer networks but heres some tracks you might like from independent mc's.

Troy Keith - Little John Doe
Troy Keith - Servant of Silver
Troy Keith - Shaky Cadet
We Were Poets - My Father[5 bullets]
We Were Poets - Compton meets Harlem
We Were Poets - Corrupt

I'll give you some more later on, but first have a listen to them if you can and see if you like it because it'll be a waste if you end up calling them BORING. :?
