Ataraxia wrote:hey Skip or Colin do you think you could recommend me some Wu-Tang songs....u know the tracks that dont have videos and stuff.

And also some good tracks from Common and Talib Kweli if isnt too much of trouble.

Thanks :D

Have a listen to Onyx and A Tribe Called Quest, you might like them considering your taste and some Public Enemy wouldnt hurt.

Colin though gave a great list so I have nothing to add, I Can't Go To Sleep is my favourite Wu joint, it'll sound a bit odd the first time you listen since Ghostface sounds like hes crying but listen to the words and you'd get into it, RZA's verse though is much more powerful specially if you have a african background although you dont have to be african-american to appreciate it.

And becareful about downloading them from Peer to Peer networks because you get tracks with wrong titles, I downloaded Truimph and Killer Bees and they were the same thing.

Go to this site and you'll find quite alot of videos, mostly some material from the 90's.

Listening to that UK hip-hop for more than 5 minutes is like an overdose.

Slick Rick is the only person who has ever sounded good rapping with an English accent.

And Lady Sovereign and Dizzee are the ones I know the most about. They suck.

He sound sort of English, which is the only reason it works. What do you want me to call it? A British accent? The sound of their voices pretty much always just grates my ears, and their production isn't good enough to carry them.
