I advise you to bring a stopwatch, and count how long Venom appeared in the movie.

Saw Spiderman 3. Meh, I'm disappointed.I watched the other to like five hours before watching the third sequel so the memory was fresh. I could see how the quality was down rising in the movie.. Oh well the post's here pretty much tell it all, so I'm not planning to write a Spiderman 3 essay .

Just came back from Fracture. It was a sneak preview, so I had no clue what I was in for. It started with an extra long preview of "Bee Movie", I was all geared up to leave till I saw the "coming soon" sign. I sighed a sigh of relief.

Anyways, Fracture, what a movie. It was awesome. I wasn't bored for a second. It's actually movies (and books) like these that sort of made me want to pursue being a lawyer. (Which is why I'm studying Law right now.) John Grisham added to that too.

Anthony Hopkins is his usual self, fantastic to the bone. Ryan Gosling impresses highly. The two of them carried the movie and really Ryan Gosling needs the props, the guys body language, facial expressions, frustrations and over confidence...amazing. Natural actor, totally impressed by him.

A very good movie, very entertaining and highly engrossing. Wasn't bored for a minute. My eyes never left the screen. Not even to look in to deep cleavage sitting next to me. That's how good the movie was.

I enjoyed Spider-man 3 pretty thoroughly. It was a change of pace from 1 and 2, but for me, 2 was a change of pace from 1 as well. There wasn't enough Venom in it, sure, but the CGI on him was superb, as was it with Sandman. I'm struggling to figure out why it's been panned on every forum I'm a member of. I liked it quite a bit.

Are they making a Spidey 4?

Jackal, that's great to hear about Fracture. Gosling and Hopkins are great actors, IMO, but I was afraid it was going to be too much like Murder by Numbers (which I enjoyed quite a bit, but if I wanted to watch it, I'd just watch it), but your review is encouraging. I'll definitely be seeing it.

If they make a Spidey 4, they better have Venom come back somehow (even though it appears he's gone for good). You can't just introduce and kill off such a major character from the comic books and the entire genre in such a miniscule amount of time. Regardless, they made a mistake on giving Venom such a limited role. Despite that, I also enjoyed the movie a lot even though everyone I was with despised it. It was entertaining and fun, which is all I really ask for in a movie. I can't understand why anyone would hate it unless they are intense Spidey fans.

1. I hate it because there was more of MJ and Harry than there was of Spiderman. Sure there was alot of Pete, but i'm not there to see Pete. I'm there to see spidey wail on badguys Also, increasing aggression does not make you emo

2. Its a comic book flick, you never see venom's remains, he could still be there

3. I was an intense spidey fan...but i was there solely to see the black suit and venom (which i had no problems with) it was the filler content i had trouble with.

4. Who the fuck is this Knightrider son of a bitch?

Tobey will not do a spidey 4 unless everyone comes back, and raimi and dunst expressed similar sentiments so we'll see.

Really? It was one of my most awaited movies this year. Along with Die Hard 4.0, Disturbia, Pirates & naturally the Bourne Ultimatum.

I'll try to give the gist of it without giving out any spoilers. Unlike some people. (Yes, I'm still miffed about that, I've got no intentions of spending my money on Spiderman anymore because of a lot of you guys.)

Fracture is basically about Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. Hopkins finds out his wife is cheating with a local detective. He confronts her. Attempts to kill her. Gets arrested. Confesses and the gun is in evidence. Open & shut case thinks Gosling who has one foot out the door of the DA's office because he's heading to a prestigious bigshot lawfirm. So why not take it on. He does.

Case progresses...open and shut case becomes not so shut. Hopkins chooses to defend himself in court. Gosling is amused. The clash between him & Hopkins is what makes the movie worthy. Hopkins is great as a sly, super intelligent "sad clown". Gosling keeps up with Hopkins by great acting trying to put the case away.

It's sort of a courtroom movie/thriller. Mostly thriller, the courtroom scenes were just highly amusing for me because Hopkins' character is so amusing/intelligent it made my day.

Check out the trailer on http://movies.yahoo.com. I'm certain no one will be disappointed. I wasn't and I'm usually quite critical about movies.

Nopes, haven't seen it yet. I'm going to have to wait for awhile before they release it over here. It comes out in August or something. :?

The releases here are so weird. Sometimes we get a movie around the same time as the States (Spiderman) and other times, I download an entire DVD of the movie (gasp!) and then it starts playing in the theatres.

I had Employee of the Month 3 months before they started playing it in the theatres. That's how weird these guys get.

Yeah i was actually suprised it came out as early as it did in Australia.. They all get delayed for us too, but no where near 3 months, thats just rediculous!

Well i've heard mixed reactions to Disturbia, some loved it, some hated it.. I was one of the first.. I thought it was absolutely brilliant.. Shia LeBouf was excellent in it, as was the chinese dude (who i could have sworn was the Stoner from 'The Perfect Score', but didnt turn out to be) who played his best friend.. The girl in it is also pretty good, and damn fine eye candy (Y)

Oh, and about the Spiderman spoilers - sorry if i said anything to ruin the movie (N)

I don't get something. Why do most people say Spidey instead of Spiderman ? It just makes it sound wrong :? .

Jackal, I'm pretty much in the same boat as you.We get movies very late here too.I remember I had Final Destination at home a year before it was released here.

Maybe his saying "My Spidey Sense is tingling!" in the originals has something to do with it

That is true, but still it wasn't meant to replace Spiderman when referring to the movie .I don't know about other people, but I always get confused when people use Spidey instead of Spiderman.

Confused? You can't make the connection between Spidey and Spider-man? :P I just find that strange, is all.

Spidey's been a nickname for Spider-man for decades, that's why people use it.

Thanks for the history lesson bigh0rt .

And to clear myself. I get confused, because people over here only use Spiderman. So when I see people on the board use Spidey, I just do the "huh ? " reaction. At least I'll know now for the future .

Went and watched The Illusionist last night.. Didnt mind it, wasnt as good as i had hoped, but it was still entertaining.. Couple of nice twists here and there.. Turned out good considering the only reason i went was cos Ed Norton was in it

Watched The Reaping yesterday. It's okay I suppose. I got to watch it for free because of this unlimited card thing. I pay 17.50 a month and I can go to the movies whenever I feel like it.

So yeah, Reaping wasn't bad, but it's a DVD-type movie. Swank was okay and it just followed the satanic/cult type storyline most of these movies have. Most of the good stuff is shown in the trailer.

Seen Kung Pow: Enter the Fist moments ago. It's a hell of a laugh especially the Ling girl. And I also read somewhere that there would be a sequel(indicated in the last part of the film).
