Anyone seen Life is Beautiful? Watched it in class and it's a pretty good movie. It's Italian though, but has english subtitles. The ending was pretty fucked up where it showed American troops liberating the concentration camps instead of the Russians.

One of the more amazing films i've seen. Anyways, the ending isnt about who saved who in this movie let it slide. The sheer power of the story and excellence in execution make this a must see.

Saw Spidey 3 midnight show

Why Sam Raimi? Why?

I'd start a chant of sellout but theres no need....

Yes there are redeeming qualities (loved the action, loved venom, and they actually made sandman a badass; not an easy task)

but why god why did we need that much desperate houswives drama?

It was great. I had no problem with Spider-Man 3...there wasn't much action though. They had a ton of funny parts which made the film seem more like a comedy...

I can't really compare this Spider Man to other Spider Man's since I haven't seen 2 and 1 in years , so I forgot most. I liked the plot though.

the plot was so high school, they're getting older, they should be maturing, not regressing and everyone in the movie was acting like freshmen in high school. Go see 1 again, you'll see why i'm pissed.

Few things about Spider Man 3 that I didn't like :

Brock's ex-girlfriend - she really didn't seem like a college student. She seemed like a 40-year old , should have gotten someone younger or something.

Another minor thing...there weren't actually any battles until the final 20 minutes of the film. There were a few thrown in here and there. The Eddie Brock Venom character only appeared for about the last 30 minutes , and I would have liked to see a few battles between BrockVenom and SpiderMan before the final fight sequence.

I also thought it took too long for the symbiote to bind to Parker...it binded about 1 hour into the film. I thought it would bind earlier when it attached to the motorcycle in the beginning , but it took a considerable amount of time until we saw Black Spider-Man.

And the ending was not as positive as 2 and 1 , which correct me if I'm wrong , ended on a good note with him web-slinging through New York City.

Not having a positive ending is a good opener for the next sequel

1 ended with him rejecting mary jane and then they added him slinging through NYC as a little patriotic tribute since it was around 9/11...the ending of him slinging was an afterthought

2 ended positively which is part of the reason i hated it

3 could be taken either way, i didnt see it as a negative....

Epic Movie is the worst film ever made.

I'm literally crying because I lost that amount of time of my life which I will never get back again and I don't mind that I lost it, I just mind I lost it watching that.

I'm going to continue crying here, I'm baffled.

I know what you mean, Jackal. I couldn't even get through half an hour of it.

I saw Spiderman 3, and I think they tried to put too many stories into it, not to mention the amount scenes of dialog that are supposed to teach a lesson. I did find it hilarious when Parker was strutting through the street "Saturday Night Fever" style.

Hmm, I enjoyed Van Helsing. I'm relatively easy to please as far as movies go, though. I can't envision myself not enjoying Spidey 3 unless it's completely not like the first 2 at all.

I wouldnt go as far as to say its a worst movie ive seen personally (hello, 'Sunshine' ;)), but given how much i anticipated this movie, based on the trailer alone, i was fairly disappointed.. I still think Topher Grace is a damn legend though haha.. I also liked James Franco in it too, those two were the stand outs for me (although, what the hell was up with Harry Osborne and MJ? "I wish someone would bump me on the head", "bump" )

And i dont care what anyone says, however wrong it was, seeing 'Emo-man' pelvic thrust all the way through NYC was unbelievably funny

Edit: Thats not to say i didnt enjoy SM3, i was just disappointed.

No, that's Date Movie. That one I didn't even bother to watch.

Agreed with the Spiderman comments, I'm not too keen on watching it, but still...the amount of information given out in some of the posts, if I did want to watch the movie, I'd have had a hissy fit. I liked Van Helsing too. Then again, I like anything where Kate Beckinsale looks hot.

I saw Spidey 3. I enjoyed it. It is by no means a great movie though. I had a lot of laughs which I really didn't expect...especially when he says "You gonna cry?" and when he does those crotch thrusts. (Wtf were they thinking)

Saw Spiderman 3 hours ago. And I think it has less impact than the first two movies. There are scenes I find rather lame:

1. The "SPIDER-MAN, STOP US IF YOU CAN" writing on Venom's web before the final battle scenes.

2. Peter Parker's emo look when he hosted the symbiote.

3. Venom's appearance lasted less than 30 minutes, when we all anticipated his appearance on the movies. And I hate the scene when the masked Venom spoke to Sandman. He looked like a character from Pixar films during that scene.

4. Harry was convinced by his butler about Norman Osborn's death. It was a sudden change of heart.

5. On the comics and the animated series, the symbiote "merged" with Peter and not with the suit, he can even control the symbiote's appearance. In the film, when he's wearing the symbiote suit, that's the only time he goes evil. I dunno, this could be Sam Raimi's idea.

6. After Peter accepted Flint's(Sandman) apology, Flint just fled. Like a plot hole or something. Maybe he'll return for Spiderman 4?

Just my opinion here. I'm just quite disappointed with the way Venom was defeated/killed. Were they (symbiote and Eddie Brock) just blown up by the pumpkin bomb? I think they should just have made the entire third film "the struggle" of Peter Parker against the symbiote, then have Venom appear in the end as a teaser for a fourth movie. I think they ran the pace to fast on Venom.

But I still enjoyed the movie. (Y) Especially Peter's dance-on-the-street scene. That was hilarious.

hopefully i'm not one of the ones who posted spoilers, i tried desperately not to...as for the rest of you....come on.....The writers never should've changed from the first one. Also this script seemed to follow more of the "ultimate spider man" story arcs than the classic ones we all know and love....
