Doobie, you're kidding, right? You've never seen Forrest Gump before? It's a classic. At least you liked it, it'd have worse if you said it sucked.

You know this I've seen it before, part by part but this is the first time I saw all of it in one sitting. It was a great movie, really good. I'm looking for it on DVD but no store seems to have it.

Seen Casino for the second time the other night. Forgot how great a movie it really is. Damn De Niro can dress! Peschi plays the best 'hard-ass' ever! Was wondering if anyone has seen 'Dick Tracy' with Pacino? I'm still trying to find it, looks interesting to say the least.

Is that the movie where he repeatedly stabs a dude with a pen?
I saw that when i was like 12 and it's burned into my retinas forever.

Yeah that'd be the one. Also another nice 'retina burning' scene in the film, i won't spoil it for you but it involves the human head as well as a vice.

That doesnt give it away

Speaking off... movies... does anyone remember how the Da Vinci Code detail was? The thing is, my sister haven't seen it yet so I "got" it for her in the form off a DVD-Rip, yet it seems to have a lot of grain and doesn't show very good detail in dark areas. Is that the version I got, or is the movie actually shot like that (like as if they didn't use state of the art camera equipment..)?
Wed Jan 17, 2007 10:33 pm
No, it was really well done Andreas. Looks like they spent a fortune on the camera work and effects. Might have got a dodgy version.

Dahl don't believe everything you read, because if it was low detail in dark areas, then you probably didn't get a real dvd rip ,still its probably watchable so I wouldn't worry about it,just don't watch it in total darkness.

Just watched X-Men 3. It wasn't too bad, and I'm surprised at how many people died. The very last scene in the movie was pretty depressing. Rogue sucked balls; she was useless throughout all three movies, and she looked like a man. Cool special effects though!

Yeah, at least in the first 2 she was eye candy.. I replaced her with Kitty Pride in this one

(the one she thought Bobby liked)

The last scene being the one after the credits? How was that depressing?

I didn't know there was a scene after the credits, but I found the part where
Magneto was alone, old and decrepit, trying to play chess by himself by moving a piece with his non-existent magnetic powers. He's going to die without achieving anything, having lost Professor X, and be traumatized with the loss of power.
That's my take on it
Mon Jan 22, 2007 5:18 am
^
But it shows that he hasn't lost all of his powers. That's what the scene is all about. It's setting up for the return of Magneto.
And who knows, once the mutants' lost their powers, they might be able to train them up again from scratch; so what the 'medicine' did, was just to reset their powers, rather than changing their DNA...
I dunno, it was a while since I saw the movie.

it's so sad they tried to do all of the X-Men stories in 8 hours of 3 movies. that's just not possible. as a result, in the thrid movie, they had to do some crazy shit like
kill off Professor X & Jean Grey and set it up for a Wolverine spinoff... and i think that sccene sets up Magneto as the bad guy in the spinoff.
Mon Jan 22, 2007 7:26 am
But...Xavier isn't dead? He came back in that soul-less guys body. So yeah, basically he isn't dead.
Mon Jan 22, 2007 7:46 am
^Thats true, I can't believe you guys didn't know that. Also, since Magneto is getting his powers back, I bet Mystique is coming back. Wolverine is no match for Magneto.

Actually, the only thing I knew was
Professor X wasn't really dead, because he did the same thing that Jean Grey did, somehow hide or form a shell with his mind.
Mon Jan 22, 2007 10:53 am
oh yeah that was pretty lame... if i remember right, Moira was in the lab and there were signs of Xavier in the other guy's body or something. so did Xavier & Jean survive? if the characters are in future movies, but not with Patrick Stewart & Famke jannsen playing them, I'm boycotting

Watched Little Miss Sunshine. It was cute, quirky, and well done where every actor has a significant role and unique character. I enjoyed it, and I'm sure everyone else will.
