I thought that Harry turns into Hobgoblin using his dad's equipment to get back at Spiderman. (They hinted at this at the end of Spiderman 2 when Harry breaks the glass into the secret chamber)

nah hobgoblins just a run of the mill criminal with similar weapons...Im unsure of the story in the comics but in the TV show (which occasionally stayed close to the comics) Hobgoblin came first and his weaponry was made by OsCorp. When Norman turned into the green goblin, the gas also got the hobgoblin suit which was in the same room and turned it all green themed....Harry later becomes the green goblin and meets the same fate as his father and i believe apologizes to peter with his dying breath (if i remember the comic)

I read somewhere that they wanted Harry to be his own kind of character, not so much the hob goblin or the green goblin.
If my memory serves me well, illini is correct and Hob goblin is a just an everyday joe with a bunch of guns and pumkins.

So watched Nacho Libre and got very little work done. While jack black never ceases to amuse me, the rest of the movie just had nothing at all going for it. It'd be a good family flick but not much else. The best parts are Jack Black channeling some definite Tenacious D during some musical scenes.

There are many things in Total Recall that makes it seem real, and there are many things that make it look like a dream. Its really open for interpretation, but I think its real. Why go to Rekall and have a fucked-up-ass trip to Mars like that? He's supposed to be on vacation.

i believe so too. remember there are so many advertisements in there, that would be very hard to franchise such products and advertise it was only virtual reality[e.g. fujifilm/coca cola etc.] then that is a very wierd and phsycologically frustrating if that is a vacation, imagine the recall company being sued after clients are emotionally distress during their so called vacation.
lastly a big clue was when arnie[quiad] asks his fellow worker to what would he think about a vacation to mars, his buddy looked at him for about 5 seconds and said "why would you want to go there AGAIN?"
basically it is one of arnies best cheesy cheeky films ever. next to commando.LOL

I watched Tim Robbin's Dead Man Walking with Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon. I thought it was a slow movie, but a necessary movie to be made as it deals with the death penalty. The ending was good, but I had to take a nap halfway through before finishing it.

On spiderman 3, Topher Grace from that 70's who is signed on to play eddie brock. Why would they introduce eddie into the story if they werent going to use venom? It may be in a 4th movie...but its possible it could be in this one...
Been home and have the digital cable on demand and am currently rewatching the star wars saga: I'm giving the prequels another chance (although i never saw episode 3) and i havent seen the others in 5-6 years. I'll edit this post as i get through each one and give a little take on each...I'll use a rating system..of 5 lightsabers? god i'm a fucking dork
Episode 1 Phantom Menace-Still blows. The action is cool, but the only good actor in the entire fucking film is Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon but its not enough to save this movie. Little plot, little depth, and too much of jar jar. 1.5 light sabers solely for the dual edged darth maul saber
Episode 2 Attack of the Clones- After episode 1, it had to be better. And it was. Natalie Portman had finally become old enough to act the age of her part, more of samuel l is always good..and the plot isnt as hackneyed as episode 1 (although still not great). My only real complaint is everything in the plot is pretty damn predictable 3 Lightsabers, could've been better but not bad with whats there.
Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith-So the only one i hadnt seen before. I got what i expected. The link in the giant puzzle between episode 2 and episode 4. Although i knew the ending, i do think this is the best of the prequels. The acting is passionate, the effects amazing...and the script isnt bad..(well until the end)....The quadruple lightsabers by general grievous were pretty badass. 4 out of 5 lightsabers.
Episode 4 A New Hope- There's nothing to be said but its the one, the only, the original star wars. Could've used better action sequences (hell the fight between darth and obi wan lasts about 10 seconds) and less blaster use, but this was more to get the story started. Sure the effects wowed people in the 70's too. But everything else is perfect. 5 out of 5 lightsabers
Episode 5 Empire Strikes Back-I had only seen this in pieces never all at once. And I was relativley impressed (as i can be with a movie I know everything that happens in). From the walkers, to dagobah to the Cloud City, i didnt really ever get bored, even though it was depressing watching the rebels get their ass kicked. 5 out of 5 lightsabers once again

episode 3 is the best in th series.
just watched "Fire in The Sky". and i still can't figure out why poeple are so phsycologically scared after watching it. my ex was so terrified when it first aired back in 94 that she slept in her parents bed for a year! to me it's just an okay film

saw "harsh times" over the weekend. it took half an hour to get used to Bale's American/white trash accent since i recently saw "the Prestige". in fact it was pretty funny hearing him say "dude" and swearing excessively then later in others scenes speak Spanish fluentely/smoothely throughout the movie
i have mixed feelings about this movie, mostly positive. it was very similar to "training day" but imo you can relate more to the characters in this film
eva longaria was in this but was a bad cast. she was suppposed to be the same age as Freddy Rodriguez's character but clearly they look nowhere close in that department. i guess maybe she was added since film needed a big female name but she didn't add anything to the film
i think Bale has cornered the market on playing intense, complex, psychologically distrubed characters. not a knock on him at all but a compliment- his performance is oscar worthy, at the least he was better then Denzel's Alonzo in "training day". he didn't have to act over the top as much Washington did and you could still buy into him being crazy and having a sensitive side

i didn't know who this freddy rodriguez guy is, but he did a great job in his supporting role and had great on screen chemistry with Bale. he seemed too smart to be getting in the "situations" with his buddy but overall he was very believeable as the main character's best friend
the movie is somewhat a downward death spiral/you just know things are going to fall apart even though you're rooting for them to make it.. i'm not sure if you guys will be satisfied with the climax but i do recommend the movie
