Problem - using keyboard and pad simultaniously

Have pad Genius USB - when it is connected i can`t choose keyboard in menu - so two plaeyers cannot play, only one.
If pad is not connected keyboard can be chosen.
Anyone, who solved this problem, please help! Thanks
