EASO, what's the verdict?

I signed up today, but I'm a little shaky with online play.
I played a little bit online with Live 2000 and 2001 and never really had a lag free game (even when I played cable vs cable)-- i played an IP to IP game and it was laggy at some points but overall an "ok" game.

Just wanted to hear some thoughts, I have cable and I want to play other people--but IMHO It's not really fun when lag plays into the factor.

IP to IP all the way. I think that the pay-to-play thing will apply once, like you said, they solve lag and latency problems.

I get pissed off when I don't pay, and I'm a 1.5M DSL line. What's more if I fork over more cash?
