Help with PLAYERS.DBF location

Hello everyone,

I must say that everyone is here has been extremely helpful in helping others and also by providing roster patches and what not.

Now I need your help again. I have downloaded the roster patch/DBF file. Can someone please tell me each location that I need to paste the file into? I think there are 4 locations, but can someone please give me the exact locations?

ok .. i found that destination but the new rosters doesent take efect. When i watch the roster stats, the player ratings and speed and dunking is the same ... but with my new roster-file ... it should be reduced. To u apply the new roster in the game r ... what should i do to make it work?

Hey Jux!

Thanks for reminding me. I remember that in previous versions of NBA Live you needed to activate the rosters from within the game, I wonder if this has to happen in Live 2003. Anyone know for sure?

Actually it has to be in 4 places, under the game install directory, and then under three folders in my documents\nba2003\databases...just look for the existing onse...and substitute them.

Thanks for the update guys, but after replacing the older files in all of the directories, do you still need to active the new rosters/dbf file from WITHIN Live 2003? Like maybe load the new roster. Because it seems to me that the old stats are still active even though I have installed the new dbf file. Anyone?

I have not had to, but then are you changing the players.dbf, and then trying to go back to a saved franchise?

Or are you checking the stats from the team management on the initial screen?

If you replace those files, you should not have to activate it within the game.

i get the same thing, i replace all the player.dbf files that come with live2003 and the ratings are still the same in the team management screen in the game. i even tried saving the rosters and replacing the player.dbf file in the save file and load that save but it still doesn't work. please help us!
