Resolution disabled. Crashes when changing details

I have Nvidia Geforce 230m on Hp Pavillion 3180us DV7.
My resolution is disabled, i go into the detail settings on the game and
its blank and greyed out. When i try to change other settings it just crashes. How do i fix this?

My video card has the recent updates

That chipset might not be supported by NBA Live 2003, in which case there's not much you can do.

Oh is there a way i can force the resolution by a trick or editing settings

Not to my knowledge but perhaps someone else has a suggestion. If so, by all means post it.
