Changing Team Shoes

How can i change the shoes of an entire team.
I have tried modifying all the teamgear files to a different number...but it doenst seem to work in my existing franchise ?
Any clue ?

if you've downloaded a shoe, just put the shoe on all of your players yourself

the question is can you modify the teamgear.dbf file to change the shoes globally for a team
i know i can create folders for each player i want to wear the shoe
but that is a royal pain in the neck
