NLSC Current Roster Update v3.0 Released

A new version (v3.0, the long awaited post-Draft release) of the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 2005 is now available to download here. The rosters in the update are accurate as of August 20th, see below or check out the release thread for full details.

finally thanks for the roster it`s just simply great...

You're welcome. I finally ran into the shoe edit crash, so I've replaced the shoesacc.dbf file and unlocked all the shoes again. Hopefully that problem won't happen anymore.

If most players are missing their faces, it means the update has not been installed properly. Please see Faces Troubleshooting.txt (included in the .zip file) for more info on how to locate faces that have been installed to the wrong folder so you can move them to the right place.

You're welcome, and thanks for the kind words. The NLSC isn't actually my day job, though it's a bit more intensive than your average hobby! I certainly do make sure I get enough time to myself though and I'm out on the road a fair bit with my actual job so it's not too stressful. I definitely get a break.

It shouldn't, he should definitely have the right ID so I'm not sure what's happening there.

i'm not sure if you know about this Andrew, but the player statistics in-game are pretty low in dynasty mode. Most league leaders for points per game are around the low 20s while assists are at about 8 per game at the most. At first I thought I just did something wrong with my dynasty but its happened with this other update as well. It's probably just Live 05's awful sim engine, but I'm not exactly too competent on roster edits and all that so maybe something could be done to counteract this.

I have the same problem, but I don't think that's fixable. It might just be the sim engine. I've tried lowering the substitution frequency for CPU (so starters will play more minutes) but I don't know if that affects simulations or is it only for in-game.

I have a feeling it's the sim engine, but I will look into it as it might be a by-product of using ratings originally optimised for NBA Live 08. I'll see what can be done, if anything.

ANDREW, I have this logo display problem after installing your patch, is that possible? Is it fixable?

Looks like the logo updates aren't compatible with the Comcast update you're using. I'm guessing it would be easy enough to fix, but you'd have to edit the logo files so that the team logos appear a little smaller in-game so that they fit with the Comcast art.

No, they don't. You've probably got a shoe patch installed that conflicts with the rosters; I can't guarantee that the rosters will be compatible with all other updates. No one has pink shoes when I have the roster loaded up in my game so it's not something that I can fix.

That's because the other rosters are designed to use the Real Shoes patch; the NLSC rosters aren't. Like I said, it's not a problem with the NLSC rosters that I can fix; I can't guarantee that they'll be compatible with all other updates. If you want to use the NLSC update, don't use the Real Shoes update or you'll get that problem. Everything is fine unless you're using the Real Shoes patch, so I do not consider it a problem with the rosters and thus there is nothing to fix.

The only scoreboard I can guarantee compatibility with is the default one. Not all patches are guaranteed to work with one another, sometimes you've got to make a choice.
