Glad to hear. It's a bit puzzling as I doublechecked v2.0 and there shouldn't have been any problems so I couldn't really fix anything but if v2.1 is working as it should without any troubleshooting so much the better. :)

I just found it that the game crashes when in a normal All-Star Weekend. Haven't tried All-Star weekend in dynasty though.

And what the hell is that supposed to mean? Can you be more specific instead of just making rude, arrogant comments? In what way is it not a "real roster"?

I've been told that that's happening for some people but I haven't been able to replicate it. Is it just the dunk contest/three point shootout or all the events? You might want to try removing all files that start with dunk and dk30 from your sgsm folder. There shouldn't be any problems with the art or the databases, I haven't been able to pin anything down at any rate.

I don't quite understand what you're getting at with all of those suggestions but I kind of get the gist of it. My point is, I need detailed feedback to do anything about the rosters, don't just tell me it's bad.

Also, as I mentioned when I released v2.0, the overalls look a bit weird because the ratings have come from the 06-08 updates (those games calculate the overalls differently). I've tested them out and Marek helped me out there too and it seems pretty cosmetic, the players should perform as they should despite the overalls looking "wrong". This may be something I'll have to evaluate in the offseason all the same but the point is ratings are easily fixed and I can check these things out if I'm given specific suggestions and corrections.

Great job.
Crashes were happening to me too when i would load instantly game which is saved with new roster ( from main menu ) , but solution was to load 08/09 roster from amin menu first, then for exapmle load Dynasty and with it it is not crashign anymore.

I have no any crashes. For me this roster runs perfectly. As for the overalls - Andrew and I, during the tests, have noticed a lot of incorrect dunks, strange behaviors etc., and Andrew took care of them, as much as he could. ERROR, remember - this roster was converted, not specially created for Live 2005, was not made in foothold about most fresh statistics. As Andrew said - all suggestions are pretty welcome, in order to help in creation of future next versions. But not in this arogant style like yours, ERROR. So please post any tips and hints about player's behavior, without being rude.

What I think ERROR is trying to say and what I feared all along when the roster was released, was that the overall ratings and the ratings in general are too high. This is the case; sorry to say.
The problem is this roster being a conversion from 08 and 07 rosters, the ratings have to be individually adjusted to counter the glaring flaws that NBA Live 2005 has, and to fix the game play issues I have posted about in the past.

Re: NLSC Current Roster Update v2.1 Released

I'm aware of that, but in testing the individual ratings seem to be working out quite well. I know the initial reaction is to look at the ratings and balk because yes, they do look quite "wrong" but the results in gameplay and simulation don't appear to be that off. All I ask is that you give the roster a try and see how it plays and simulates as is and let me know how it works out, putting aside overall ratings for a moment (since their importance is grossly overrated anyway).

Even if adjustments do need to be made, that's more easily taken care of with everything else in place and in order. The overalls are more cosmetic than a lot of people realise. I did toy with the idea of making the adjustments before the release of 2.0 but when Marek and I were getting good results as is I decided to release it that way and see how things went.

Yeah, I agree with Andrew. I think that the ratings are just cosmetics and it doesn't make the game lose it's realism. Even though it shows 99 for almost all the teams, playing it with your preferred slider settings makes good results. No problem for me because I have tried it many times, and I'm enjoying the game.

One thing though - I tested the All Star Weekend, and crash only happens when you play the 3 point shootout. Dunk and Rookie Challenge is fine. This shouldn't be a major issue for everyone, but hopefully Andrew can fix it - because we still like to try out shooting 3's out there. :D

Everyone seems to be talking about simulation and good results from those games. How about the actual games that people are playing?

Sliders have been able to fix some of the problems, but the blocks and lack of a fast break can never be fixed with the sliders.
These can only be offset (a little bit) by adjusting individually each big man and each guards, speed, quickness, def awareness, jumping and blocking rating.
This may take away from the simulation stats that are being achieved; but will definitely increase game play.

Right now the defensive ratings are too high- You are not able to blow by any defender.
Right now the blocking ratings are too high- It's impossible for a smaller player to get a shot off against any big man without getting blocked.
Right now the Threeptatt ratings have to be higher- Not enough threes are being taken by anyone.
Right now the steals ratings are too high- Too many passes getting stolen in mid air.

I was talking about gameplay too. Marek and I were playing games with the rosters and the slider settings of our own choosing.

^^ Andrew, removing the files didn't work. the 3 point shoot out still crashes. What do you suggest?

schnider514, which players do you choose to play on 3 PT shootout? Try to change them on other players.

Speaking of which, I'd still love to find a way to change the default participants without changing PLAYERIDs. The dunk contest is much easier in that regard, it just takes the players with the top four dunking ratings in the currently loaded roster, making them quite easy to change.

I use the same default players, with me choosing a different one. It will be cool though if we could use the default shooters than changing them.

Anyway, thanks for that, i'll try it out.

Re: NLSC Current Roster Update v2.1 Released

The problem could stem from the fact that the default shooters include a couple of players who are no longer in the database since it's ultimately converted from the NBA Live 08 update. If I can find a way around that it'll definitely be for the best but to date I still haven't been able to achieve that. As I said, changing the default dunk contest competitors is so much easier.

I am gonna use your roster Drew. I just got 05 and I haven't tried to use a patch though. It is like the older ones(07,08) when installing a patch? 05 is a great live indeed :applaud:. Hoping for more roster updates from you drew.

BTW. Can you tell me some recommend mods for 05? I cant seem to find a good one.
