Rookie Cyberfaces

Wed Mar 04, 2009 8:38 am

I get pink cyberfaces for rookies such as O.J. Mayo, Kevin Love, Brook Lopez, etc. Would anybody be able to make a cyberface pack for these rookies?

Since the link for the chinese sgsm is not working anymore, new guys in here (like you ZeroToHero0) can have problems with such cyberfaces for rookies etc. But I recommend you to download cyberfaces from here: http://files.filefront.com/sgsm2+faces7 ... einfo.html

You can also download Beta Art Pack from here: viewtopic.php?f=88&t=61329

So I think your problem has been solved (Y)

Those didn't work. I had everything installed before, but the cyberfaces for the new rookies like Mayo, Rose, Beasley. I had the 08-09 roster, sgsm with other faces to make so they're not pink like Oden, Noah, etc. They still show up to being pink, as those files did not have cyberfaces of the new rookies (Mayo, Rose, Beasley).

If you are sure, that you have cyberfaces for these players in your sgsm forder, I suggest to check their appearance.dbf by using DB Commander(FACEID must be set to -1) and players.dbf (ISCREATED must be set to "False", and their PLAYERPKG must be the same as players name) For example OJ Mayo, his PLAYERPKG must be OJMAYO_

But if don't have cyberfaces for them, let me know, and I'll upload them for you.

I don't have Mayo's or any other CURRENT rookie's cyberfaces at all. As I said, I have players from the draft before the last one, which had guys like Durant and Oden.

I can asure you, none of this forum has separate patch with ROOKIES for Live 2005. If you want me to upload these faces for you, you have to tell me which faces exactly do you need.

I think I found a pack that has them.

Hey Marek, your post actually helped me out a lot. I was wondering if you could either upload or tell me where to find these cyberfaces:

Othello Hunter
Bill Walker
DJ Augustin
Darnell Jackson
Anthony Morrow
Anthony Randolph
CJ Watson
Mario Chalmers
DeAndre Jordan
Joe Alexander
Luc Mbah a Moute
Kevin Love
Chris Douglas-Roberts
Brook Lopez
Robin Lopez
Danilo Galinari
Lou Amundson
Goran Dragic
Jerryd Bayless
Will Solomon
Jason Thompson
Malik Hairston
Kyrylo Fesenko

Also, if you dont mind me asking since you seem to be very knowledgeable about the series, several players (Josh Smith, David West, JR Smith, Nate Robinson, Deron Williams) have all black arms and legs. Do you know what could cause this and more importantly how to correct it? Is it something wrong with something in the sgsm folder, or one of the .viv files, or is it something that could be corrected in the one of the .dbf files?

One more thing...for some of the players for whom I've added a cyberface, i'm not able to add a headband to in Edit Player. Some of the cyberfaces come with a lot of .ebo files, but some of those cause crashes so i delete them from my sgsm folder. Do you know how i can manipulate the files or what-have-you so I can have headbands for players who wear them? Thanks a lot.

Those players should all be in the beta pack.

The reason you're experiencing some issues with the art (notably the headband problem) is because not all shape files from later games are 100% compatible with NBA Live 2005 (or 06, for that matter). Unless/until they're properly converted those issues will unfortunately remain, though you should certainly delete any .ebo files that are causing crashes.

Yeah, listen to Andrew, and download Beta Art Pack: http://www.nba-live.com/andrew/nbalivep ... pc_art.zip
But if you will still miss any faces - let me know, and I'll upload it for you.

Andrew has already told you about the headbands. As for the skin colours - unfortunately some parts of the players has been made for other versions of NBA Live, and we just took them to our Live 2005, so that's why sometimes the colours of whole body are not accurate. The only way to change it, is to edit graphics for these parts. Mostly these parts (darker or lighter hands or legs) are included in their tatoo files (for example, Carmelo Anthony - caantho_tat.fsh). If you want to edit them, if they are not separate files in your sgsm folder - you have to extract tatoos for these players by using EA Graphics Editor (EAGE you can download from our NLSC downloads section, the main directory for tatoos is NBA Live 2005/sgsm/players/plyrtat). Then open this ..._tat.fsh through FshX, extract .bmp image responsible for the grapics, and edit them using photoshop, or any other graphic editor. You can also do the same thing for the cyberfaces, if they have not the same colours, as the rest of the body. I know, it needs a lot of work, but it's worth I think...But it's of course only my opinion

Second of all, if you have entirely black arms or legs, it means that you need default skin file. I recommend you to look for a guy (through EDIT PLAYER menu), who has similar colour of a skin with some of tatoos. Then extract his tatoo with EAGE, change his file name (this tatoo name must be the same as player with entirely black parts), and put it to your sgsm folder. I think it should help.
