Years pro bug?

When does a player's experience increase? Does he get +1 when he is just on the team's roster or does he have to play?

In Live 2005 some rookies of the first season are still rookies in the second in dynasty mode.

E.g. Nick Fazekas and others. He didn't play in season 1 and therefore has no stats...and is still referred to as R by the computer.

I think this is a bug.

It's not a bug. If a player does not play a single game in a season, he is not recognised as having played in that season thus it is not added to his experience. For example, although this should have been Greg Oden's rookie season and he's been on the Blazers' roster all year (albeit inactive the entire time), next season will officially be his rookie season. The same thing happened with Nick Collison and Speedy Claxton, both of whom missed what should have been their rookie seasons due to injury and were thus considered rookies the following season.
