Final NLSC 0708 roster with complete SGSM folder

Leander presents: updated NLSC 0708 rosters for NBA Live 2005.
Recalculated for Live 2005.
Also included: everything you need...my entire SGSM-folder for those who want to play how I play.

FEATURES:

+ updated and 100% correct NLSC07-08 rosters till the end of the regular season
+ removed retired players from FA pool
+ corrected and updated jersey numbers
+ corrected dunk packs. Players like Yao Ming, Mutombo etc. did not dunk anymore with default AIACTS or MM07 AIACTS. I corrected this.
+ fixed M. Ginobili's speech ID
+ updated players for dunk contest
+ updated coaches

+ ADDED PLAYERS: CJ Watson, Chris Andersen, Lance Allred, Blake Ahearn, Kaniel Dickens, K. Powell, Mario West

I did NOT create the shoes nor cyberfaces! I only updated the roster and added some portraits and fake-cyberfaces. Credits go out to the original authors.

IMPORTANT INFO:

The roster is an uninjured version!
Due to the player limit of 15 per team B. Ahearn and K. Powell are not on the Heat's roster but in the free agents pool.

Annoyed by pink heads (= cyberfaces are missing) I decided to create fake-cyberfaces. The players get a fake face the computer uses for cpu-generated fantasy rookies. Therefore, they do not look like they should but at least the pink head is replaced by a real head matching the players' skin tone, hair and facial hair.

DOWNLOADS:

INSTALLATION:

1) Install Live 2005.

2) Unzip 0708LFinal.zip and copy the folder 0708LFinal (=roster) to your folder c:\mydocuments\NBA Live 2005\saves.

3) Extract fe_plyrprts.rar and copy the extracted .viv to your NBA installation folder, subfolder \fe, e.g. C:\program files\NBA Live 2005\fe. Overwrite the old file or create a backup of it first.

4) Extract the rest of the rar files to your NBA-installation folder, subfolder sgsm, e.g. C:\program files\NBA Live 2005\SGSM.

Those rar files are: players1.rar, players2.rar, plyrprts.rar, shoes1.rar and shoes2.rar.

5) Run the game and load the roster 0708LFinal.[/b]

Double G and Marabunta: The download works 100%. It is my webspace.

I did not update any ages. I just took Andrew´s and Shannon´s updated NLSC roster for Live 07 as the base...his players and ratings. Then only corrected jersey numbers, dunk packs and updated the rosters.

I did not create new players. As Mario West, CJ Watson and Mahinmi for example were not included in Andrew´s and Shannon´s roster they are not in my roster either. I don´t have the indepth-knowledge of these players like Andrew has so I did not create them. Apart from that I don´t know how to create cyberfaces and such.

Shaquille: you need Jonthefon´s SGSM folder! ... with cyberfaces, portraits and the shoe patch.

A pink head means that the player doesn´t have a cyberface (ingame face).
Pink shoes mean that the player lacks shoes assigned to him. You can change that by opening appearance.dbf and players.dbf and replace the "0" in the fields orighshoe (original homeshoe) and origashoe (original away shoe) by other numbers. Both dbf files have such entries. Replace the 0 by 44, e.g. ...

Overall ratings are not -10 for me. There's a difference between standard rosters and NLSC rosters. You should NOT edit a player ingame as this leads to recalculated overall ratings...then they drop.

This is not a problem of my roster but it happens with Andrew's and Shannon's converted "07 to 2005" roster in general.
It is not recommended to use the player edit function of Live 2005.
Edit stuff directly with a DB editor...edit the players.dbf.

Sorry for my "rookie" question (I'm new here ), but can you tell me how to install all the the stuff from Jon's SGSM folder ? Do I just need to extract all the files in my SGSM folder, or do I have to do others operations (put in special folders, or start a special conversion program, etc...) ?

Edit : never mind, Jon told me on his topic Gonna try tonight your roster. I can't wait, NBA 05 still has my preference on any other NBA Live !

Ratings are really bad. And the problem with "jumping" ratings in edit mode is very bad ;] Don't do rosters in dbf ;]

As I said before the ratings are taken from Live 07 and converted for 05. I did not make or edit them.

I like them though. They are realistic, except for a few.

Current rosters + numbers.
Recalculated overall ratings! (edited each player manually) => 05 overall ratings, not 07 as before.

CJ Watson, Mahinmi, Chris Andersen will not be in the game. I can't get adding players to work. Players.dbf are ok but the bodies are always mixed. Anderson had Watson's body and vice versa. Tried and tried....without success.

You're welcome. I've found it's a better solution to delaying the rosters, using the CAP appearance or releasing the update without art for certain players.

Can someone please provide us with a more detailed set of instructions on how to install and use the new rosters, courts, players, etc... I'm having a hard time comprehending Leander's english text, TIA.
