Permanent control change

For some reason, when I add the two controls to my config that allow the cool behind-the-back and alley-oops in the Dunk Contest on keyboard, I can play one game and after that, it reverts back to default. Is it that "Keyboard" automatically goes to default when I run the game, and therefore I should make my own config controls and use that?
