The roster you are using has probably been corrupted.

Yeah I have that problem too. Does this happen for any other roster?

im not sure but i just tried reinstalling and it didnt do anything, does it only happen with jazz?

I can't recall if this method was ever used with NBA Live 2005 but the last couple of years I've found that replacing birthstate.dbf and birthdate.dbf with the original files fixes crashes such as the one you described.
