check out seraphs tutorial. i got a players dbf thing that needs D.O.B's, names, postions, PLYRPKG, scoreareas, numbers, shooting range and school numbers (i dont mind if we forget about schoolnum) once we get that done, we need to edit the Appearance dbf. We need to change APPEARID, PLYRPKG, height, weight, color, body type and muscle txture. when that one is done, we will need to make a ratings dbf for the ratings. this will be the most time consuming part of the project. we will need to make all the ratings, (except for all those CSASSISTS, CSSTEAL, etc.) write in the scoreareas, shooting range (done earlier) dunkpacks, and destinies.

what do u think?

Why not just worry about individual attribute ratings, and whatever the overall comes out to be, it is? It's silly to tailor individual ratings to have them display a specific overall that you're looking for, IMO.

this is just a guideline for the rankings. the overalls will be around this number, its just people will be moaning about why is (player) rated higher than (player), and this is a way for them to let me know before i finish the installation file

So? Let people know. You probably know beter than them anyway. People are idiots -- most don't know what they want or what's good for them. You do your thing and if anybody bitches, let them change it themselves.

Keep up the good work.

Yeah I agree, you should see the number of emails of unhappy people I get for my roster (coz their favorite player was not rated enough)
fortunaly I also received some pretty nice one

The key is just to ignore both, and do what you want. Stick to your guns, and listen to opinions, but in no way feel obligated to meet requests. They're YOUR rosters, and they reflect the ratings YOU think they should have.

Is this going to be like that thing Ol English did with the 06 draft for NBA Live 06?
Where's Jared Dudley? (Boston College) (Senior)
Glenn Davis? (LSU) (Junior) May not graduate, but was great in the NCAA Tournament

A little something I'd like to show you so I can say I contributed
http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/dra ... ear%3d2007
When you click the player it gives the rank of the player and the college stats

He uses a program, I think
The link for 06 doesn't work, but I have it
http://rapidshare.de/files/29002521/Rat ... 1.exe.html
It doesn't do the ratings for all the different categories (misses dunk, dribble, etc.)
you have to do o'neal ingame
If its for college players you might wanna switch some of the ratings down a bit
If you update the ratings through the program you have to go into the edit player and change a rating up or down 1 and then u can switch it back (Click done)
