I just created a new player and saved him in my roster.when i go to the saves/roster dbf file, it shows his full name (John Morris) How do i
go about naming the viv files for him from another player?

jomorris?
johnmorris?
:? :?:

It can be whatever you want, since you decide it. Scroll right and you'll find PLAYERPKG, just change that to what you want.
And if you haven't done this already, you need to make him not created. If you need help with that, check in this thread. (y)

By the way, normally it would be John Morris -> jomorri. First two letters in first name, and then first 5 letters in the last name.

Do you mean to have him created in the game before dbf editing
or make in game creation after?

Doesn't really matter. If you want to give him a cyberface, different face/hair shape, custom skin, you need to make some .dbf editing.
Is that what you want, or is it something else?

i want to put a player on the knicks that i created with a
cyberface i created and with jamal crawfords viv files.

Ok, well then you need to make some .dbf changes, look in the link I posted in my first reply on how to do it (y)
