PROBLEMS INSTALLING MY GAME PLEASE HELP BEFORE I GO NUTS

I Bought NBA LIVE 2005 Today. I Came home thinking about how much fun i was gonna have playing my new game . I was in such a good mood . But now all i wanna do is smash my computer with a hammer and microwaving my nba live disc . i even went as as far as restoring my whole system . i figured it would solve the problem . But it only made me more furious because it still didnt work and i lost all kinda stuff when i restored . anyways. my problem..
When im installing everything seems fine . It gets up to 43 % installed then asks to insert disc 2 . Well when i insert disc 2 my drive makes funny noises and it cant read disc 2 . then it freezes. and i cant even eject the disc. ive wiped down the disk , ive yelled at the disk, ive talked to the disk nicely, i'ved prayed, but it dosnt seem to cooperate. im wondering if this has happened to anybody or if i just have a damaged disc. im thinking about sending it back to EA sports with da warranty but im just tryna see if anybone else has had a similiar problem before i do. And i know its not my drive thats not working because ive tried all kind of other cd's and they all work fine,. Its only the disc 2 of NBA live that makes funny noises and doesnt work. ... So please can anybody help me. please.i dont want to break my computer. please help. thank you

i had that problem once. there was crap all over the disc, i wiped it off, it worked. if that hasnt worked for you, take the disc back

talk about frustrations dude.....i have the same feeling as you...my disc 2 led me to 97% then freezes. i have to insert a pin to my cd-rom to make it vommit my cd out.....

anyways heres what i did.

i returned the cd's to the store.
the storekeeper told me to wait for a week as he was going to contaact EA and find any warranties.
in 3 days i get a new set cd which is now what i have installed in 2 systems....

if it fails returned it man....and smile a bit...takes off the rpessures in life

THANKS. HEY WHAT IF I SEND THE GAME TO EA SPORTS MY SELF IT HAS WARRANTY AND I HAVE THE RECEIPT. I DONT KNOW ABOUT RETURNING IT TO THE STORE(FRY'S ELECTRONICS). IVE WIPED IT DOWN SO MUCH IT DOESNT LOOK SO NEW ANYMORE. MAYBE IF I SEND IT TO EASPORTS THEY WIL LIKE GIVE ME A LIL SOMETHING EXTRA BECAUSE OF THE INCONVINIENCE THIS GAME HAS PUT ME THROUGH THANKS.. BUT IT EILL PROBABLY TAKE LONGER THAN TAKING IT TO THE STORE BUT WHAT DA HELL I MIGHT JUST GET A LIL LOVE FROM EASPORTS. THANKS FOR DA HELP. I LOOK FOWARD TO MAKIN MORE POST WHEN I GET TO PLAY MY GAME. CANT WAIT TO PLAY THE DYNASTY MODE. HOUSTON ROCKETS WINING 10 STRAIGHT TITLES. .

well.. i took my game back earlier. Got a new copy of NBA live. i was so excited i was finally gonna get to play after such a long wait. Guess i got my hopes up to high. D same problem again.. disc 1 works well but when it asks to insert disc 2 it makes funny noises and doesnt read it. it sounds like it starts spinning then it stops, then it starts ,then it stops. it kinda sounds like an old car tryna start up. so i guess da problem is in my computer.ANYBODY THINK THEY KNOW WHAT IT IS?plus i also bought True Crime :Streets Of L.A. earlier and it all installed great but when i click to play it says.."No capable 3d hardware found on your system. This game requires Direct3d compatible hardware that supports either T & L and pixel shaders version 1.1. or higher
anybody got a clue what this means? please somebody help. thanks

what are you system specs? try another drive to install.

trying installing live on another computer and see if it does the same thing
