waiting in the backcourt

I always had this problem with the NBA live games.

when the opponent drives in for a basket and I got some teammates going to block him, I just start running towards the backcourt.

Then, after the block, my teammates throw the ball over and I am the only one on the other side and make an easy dunk.

Thats a good technique to get an easy shot.

Yea, that's great to get the fast-break. But what if the player doesn't get blocked? Or when he gets blocked, the ball gets picked up by another opponent; then they will be 5 on 4 because you’re on the other side of the court.
