v1.14 released...

I've completed the post draft (v1.14) roster update for NBA Live 2005 and it is available to download here.

Key features of v1.14:
- 2005 Offseason Rosters (July 2nd, 2005)
- All 60 rookies from the 2005 Draft added
- Player ratings updated

Please note that the rookie ratings are subject to change and I'm grateful for any input. I did my best with the scouting reports available but I'm sure improvements can be made. I haven't made any updates to the coaches, I'll get to those in the next version. There are also some duplicate jersey numbers on account of the rookies, I'll fix those as more information becomes available.

Just a couple of notes:

- It will probably be a couple of days before I announce a tentative release for v1.15.

- If I've noted your suggestions but not made the changes, chances are I didn't agree with them.

- All 60 draftees are in the roster update, they're not all on their respective teams as there isn't space. Some low rated free agents have been released to make room for rookies likely to make the team. As usual, I'll be juggling the rosters this way through the offseason.

- I won't be making trades or free agent signings until they're official. In the case of restricted free agents, I probably won't move anyone who's signed an offer sheet until they're officially with that team.

- As always, please base feedback on the latest version of the update.

ey i installed the rosters and when i start a dynasty after it when training camp is aboiut to finished the game dissapears

Hmmm...wasn't doing that before, but I just tested it and noticed that error now. I'm not sure why it's happening, I'll see if I can track down the problem.

Had a feeling I missed a transaction...thanks. If anyone else encounters any errors with Dynasty Mode, please let me know. I'm still not sure where the problem is.

Earlier today, I didn't think I was going to get it done. Because some people take my tentative release dates as exact guarantees, I prefer to be fairly conservative with my estimates.

Still trying to fix the Dynasty problem, tried a few more things but still haven't been able to isolate the problem. Again, anyone else who encounters the problem, please let me know. If everyone's getting it, there's something that can be fixed. Otherwise, I'm stumped.

yep it did it to me too. there's a prob with the patch. I'm not a new member. I just forgot my pw and deleted my old email account so I made this one

If you wanted your old account, I can help you out by changing your email and password through the admin panel.

Don't think I'll be able to get this one fixed tonight...keep the feedback coming, hopefully I won't have to start over from v1.13 (though I could work out some shortcuts to save me some time). The problem seems isolated to NLSC0506...just gotta find it.

Hi Andrew. The patch looks great; I can upload it with no problems from the Load/Save area.

However, what I usually like to do is copy the files from the NLSC folder to all my db folders so that I don't even need to Load/Save upon every time entering the game. This also allows me to play with those rosters online.

Anyway, I've tried copying and pasting the files into all the db folders but it hasn't been working...the game doesn't start up properly.

Any suggestions? Once again, thanks for all your hard work.

About the Dynasty Error:
During the Training Camp, the game simply crashes on its own.

Hmm, I was wondering if anyone knows how to edit which coach on which team b/c I'm trying to get Phil Jackson changed on the Lakers. Thanks!

I've had a look at the rookie ratings, and while most are well done I've got a few suggestions I'd like to make. I'll compile a list tommorow, and post them here.

Ive followed ur work for time now. Alwayz down wit ur shit Andrew...u do a more then fine job. Newayz...I wanted to mess around n sim a quick half season to play 2005 rooks vs. 2004 but it recognizes all them catz as 1 rookie crop u kno. How can i change that yo? Thnx.

Yeah really... the game crashes when after the Training camp.
And some players (like in GS Andris Biedrins) is really rated too low.

First, great job, is a very good patch.

A question, Can you put one year more to all players? Is because, the 2004 rookies have to be sophomores, not rookies.

Finaly I see that Fran Vazquez, 11 pick is soo bad (50), and players who was draft after are better. Fran Vazquez is better than 50.
