I have a Logitech Wingman Rumblepad. Usually I get 32fps without having the pad connected. Once it is connected, the frames drop down to 23. What is going on? Ohyeah, I have a Geforce4 Ti4200 64mb, 2.0ghz cpu, and 512mb ram.

Sounds very weird to me
The gamepad shouldn't have anything to do with the graphics and the FPS.

I updated both the graphics card driver and the gamepad drivers and i still get 23fps. Does live support force feedback?

no it doesn't. but it's still weird that you get a framerate drop... controller shouldn't be the reason

I disconected the gamepad and i was getting 32fps constantly, so i am pretty sure it is the pad. Any Ideas?

NBA Live 2003 had a similar issue with USB devices and Windows 98, though it was a much more severe drop in the framerate. I suppose there's a possibility there's a conflict with the game, though I'm pretty sure other people have been able to use that pad without encountering that problem.

How was it Fixed?In live03 i mean.
Sun Jun 19, 2005 3:29 pm
With an official patch that addressed the issue. If it is in fact an issue with NBA Live 2005, there won't be any official fix released as NBA Live 06 is already well into production. But I'm a little skeptical about it being a bug in NBA Live 2005 as others haven't encountered the same problem as far as I know.

Could the official patch by EA for live05, fix the issue?

it's worth a shot... btw what's your OS?

Windows XP SP1, Why? Hey Andrew, was the fix for live03 by logitech or by EA?
Mon Jun 20, 2005 2:42 pm
The NBA Live 2003 fix was an official patch by EA.

ok. So I found that i could get decent fps if i disconnect the pad and immedietly connect it again. I wont get 32 but i get 27fps. Should that be reasonable?

it still surprises me that a gamepad slows it down... btw, how do you measure your fps? cuz most of the time those programs slow the game down themselves too...

I use fraps.
