How To Install and Use Updated Rosters Online

I keep seeing people ask "How Do I use updated rosters online", well this is how you do it.

**This method is for Windows XP**

Go step by Step.

1. First go to www.nba-live.com
(that is like the ultimite NBA Live fans website)

2. On the left hand side of the page there are tabs you can click on . Click on Downloads.

3. Then Click NBA Live 2005 Roster Patches(Underneath it should say "Roster patches for NBA Live 2005"

4.From there Click NLSC NBA Live 2005 Current Roster Update

5.Then it should give you information about the patch and then under it- there will show three things to do. "Download","Rate file" and "Email to a friend". Click Download.

6. Once you clicked download, a Download window should pop up, click "Save".

7. Save it to your Desktop.Then wait for it to download.

8. Then after it downloads it, open the .zip file and unzip it to your desktop. Then after it unzips, click on the file "Install". Then agree to the terms and then save it to your desktop.

9. After you do that, then you open the folder and then there should be three files there. "0405Opening","0405 Uninjuried", "NLSC0405". Hold your right mouse butten and then copy all three files.

10. Once the files are copied, open the Saves folder it is in- My Documents-NBA Live 2005-Saves.
In that folder right click and press paste- It should paste all three folders inside.

11. Then open the "Origdb" folder. It is in - Programfiles-EA Sports- NBA Live 2005-database-Origdb. Inside there should be many files there. Hold the right mouse down and drag over them and then press Delete. *Keep the file open*

12. Then go back to the "0405 Uninjuried" file by going to - Mydocuments-NBA Live 2005- Saves- 0405 Uninjuried.

13. Copy all of those files inside that folder.

14. Then go to the "Origdb" folder thats in - Programfiles-EA Sports- NBA Live 2005-database-Origdb . THEN PASTE THE FILES "0405 UNINJURIED" FILES INSIDE.

15. Then once you pasted them. Close all of the folders and then load the NBA Live 2005 PC Game. Once you run the game, go to Options- Load- and there should be 3 files- "0405 Opening",0405 Uninjuried, and "NLSC0405". Press on O405 Uninjuried and load it. Then once its loaded go to Reorder Rosters, and you can look at the ratings, and you will notice the diffrence. Then once you know there updated, you can now play with the Updated Rosters!!!!And you can now Play NBA LIVE 2005!!!!!!

I Made this for people who are having trouble, if the mods want to sticky it, its up to them, but that is the method for Windows XP.

Here's some extra info on how to make this work. Copy all of the files excluding save.dat from mydocuments\nbalive2005\saves\rosterfolder (currently 0506) to programfiles\easports\nbalive2005\database\origdb. It is important to paste the files in, do not delete the original files in originaldb, but it is o.k. to replace them. I don't pretend to be an expert at this stuff, but I just wanted to share what worked for me and try to contribute this community and help people.
