very well i challenge you to get me CARMELO ANTHONY OR LEBRON JAMES

i play in my 1st season on dinasty and the overalls and salaries are the same as the original...

i have

YAO
DWIGHT HOWARD
JERRY STACKHOUSE
DAMON JONES
JEFF MCCINNIS

KARL MALONE
ROBERT HORRY
JOSH HOWARD
DION GLOVER
RON STRICKLAND
NDYAE
KENNY ANDERSON
GLEN RICE

i give up stackhouse, jeff mccinnis, and anyone from the bench for this trade...

i defy you...

Fri May 27, 2005 2:15 am

Glen Rice is still playing ??

Fri May 27, 2005 4:27 am

glen rice is a free agent, i think his overall is 50 or 48, but he can make some good mid range field goals....

THE GURU'S VERDICT!!!

Fri May 27, 2005 12:04 pm

OK, you want LeBron or Melo you gotta give up more than Stackhouse...

God knows how you lost McGrady, that was a bad move.....

You might wanna look into free agency, you have some emerging stars with small contracts (Yao, D Howard, J Howard) to build around.....

If you want LeBron/Melo youll have to give up Yao, plain and simple, you could prolly get Melo/Camby for Yao/Stackhouse if that interests you...

Or you could try for Ilguaskas/James/12th man for Yao/Stackhouse/Horry

Realisticly id dive in for free agency in your next season. Move stackhouse/Horry/Malone(if over 1 year deal),

move them to NY for Hardaway and Crawford

Then youll be running...

Yao
D Howard
J Howard
J Crawford
D Jones

and youll have some cap space to get T Parker if he becomes a free agent, or fall back on D Stoudamire who always becomes a FA

THE GURU STRIKES AGAIN!

Okay, you can help me getting a new PG, as I'm not completely satisfied with just Arroyo and Norris... I'm playing with the Knicks

This is my starting line up:

C: Ilgauskas
PF: K. Thomas
SF: V. Carter
SG: M. Peterson
PG: C. Arroyo

Bench:

SF: T. Thomas
SG: P. Hardaway
SF: S. Anderson
PF: M. Sweetney
SG: C. Jacobson
C. R. Araujo
PG: M. Norris

IR1: J. Williams
IR2: V. Baker [or Araujo]

Kind of messed my team up with lots of trades. :P I really wanted Carter because I'm always way better with him in my team... and my record is better now. And I traded Houston + another player [I forgot who] for Ilgauskas. When I still had Marbury and Crawford games were way harder for me to win... I also got Peterson with Carter btw. With him and Carter it's going smoothhh... until now. There are some negatives... Ilgauskas is like the only one getting rebounds. So it's pretty handy getting some extra height too.

ps. I'm a rookie NBA Live-er. I only played NBA Live 99 before I bought 2005. So dont laugh at me.

So, what would you do? :P

Sun May 29, 2005 1:40 am

You don't need another PG. Have Penny go back to these old magic days and start him at 1. It's always been fun for me. :-) So you got Arroyo for backup. And Moochie, well, you can still trade him...

Sun May 29, 2005 3:40 am

Thanks, will try that. :) Any other suggestions at making my team stronger? It's pretty hard puzzling trades together... would love a player like Ginobili, Wade, Anthony, Arenas or LeBron. :P

Sun May 29, 2005 12:23 pm

V15, Get Sebastian Telfair. Won't need to give up a lot get him. Quick, gets steals, assists, GREAT FASTBREAK LEADER, is only 19, and is a NYer so it would make the fans happy. :D

Sun May 29, 2005 3:12 pm

thanx for the advices on my rockets team...

i gave up mcgrady and a sucker player for jerry stackhouse and dampier...

then i changed dampier for money with utah or charlotte...

i prefer my team with

yao
dwight howard
jerry stackhouse
damon jones
jeff mccinnis

than yours

camby
d. howard
carmelo anthony
damon jones
jeff mccinnis

now i triple double alll the games with yao... so i wont give up him for melo who hardly triple double with me, because i am not a good rebounder...

Sun May 29, 2005 5:23 pm

Get me Dwyane Wade.

My team is the Cavs, and I have $1.38 in cap room

POS NAME RATING SALARY (est)
C Kwame Brown 71 5 mill Injured (3 weeks)
PF Drew Gooden 69 4.07

PG Jeff McInnis 64 4 mill

PF A Varejao 71 under 1 mill

SG A Pavlovic 57 2.75
PF Etan Thomas 61 5 mill
SG Ira Newble 51 2.95
SF Lee Nailon 51 807k

Dwyane is a 92 on his default salary in year 2

Sun May 29, 2005 6:27 pm

I think you're fighting an up-hill battle with that one.

Mon May 30, 2005 5:47 am

i need lebron. my roster is the knicks in year 6:

C-Bashiri James-64-2.07 mill
PF-Tyson Chandler-67-6.09 mill

Cleveland

C-Ilgauskas-66-7.06
PF-Isakka-63-3.13

SG-Wilkinson-64-2.8
PG-Jeff McIniss-51-4.35

SG-Hanson-53-1.35
PG-Dalton-51-1.08
SG-Brown-53-1.01
C-Madkins-49-385k

for Captain Chris:

Mon May 30, 2005 12:38 pm

OK, looks tough, but ill give it a go.....

Your only option is to try....

S Livingstone (they WANT this guy)
J Johnson (Try changing him to SG for greater interest from cleveland)

for

L James
Madkins

If they reject that.....

S Livingstone
J Johnson
T Chandler

for

L James
Madkins
R Traylor

The trades might strip you of depth, but running Wade and James on the same team will always get you wins!!!

for Lebron:

Mon May 30, 2005 12:44 pm

OK, this is a tough one....

Your probably on different rosters to me, so i dunno what the heat really need roster-wise.

If they want PF's badly your in with a chance......

Wait till Kwame is healthy again, change him to PF if they have Shaq and they'll want him more....

try...

K Brown
A Varajo
J McInnes

for

D Wade
Low quality C (Doliac?)
Low quality PF (Beasley? Haslem?)

That could float

Mon May 30, 2005 1:03 pm

for V15

OK, you need a point man and a tough guy....

I like Carter at SF, but there is the option of moving him to SG and moving T Thomas into the starting lineup. I'd probably do that coz I hate M Peterson.....

try this...

K Thomas (if hes not doing the job, AXE HIM!)
M Peterson
C Arroyo
(Im guessing that adds up to about 13mil salaries)

S Swift
J Williams
low bench player

That would leave you running...

Z Ilguaskas
S Swift
T Thomas
V Carter
J Williams

THANKS :D:D:D:D:D I'll definitely try that. ive been trying to get him and hopefully this will work. and yeah joe johnson is a SG for me and its not robert traylor they have anymore its Keith Traylor. they drafted him and hes fake. but again, thanks, and now i will beat everyone!

Mon May 30, 2005 4:29 pm

I've got Wade, but it wasn't yours, I managed to get him with one offer just minutes after I posted.

Gooden
Thomas
Pavlovic

for

Wade
S. Anderson

Now I've got a major logjam at SF/SG and no PF's. I've tried offering Anderson to a few teams but the only team that takes him is NOH for PJ Brown. Doesn't matter, I got my 2nd man, Dwyane Wade!

Challenge

Mon May 30, 2005 6:29 pm

Alright, I did a fantasy draft, so I cannot post the rosters of the teams, but maybe you have some general suggestions of players to look out for.

Here's my Line-Up

C T. Duncan
PF K. Garnett
SF W. McCarthy
SG. M. Miller
PG J. Williams

C E. Eschmeyer
SG B. Gordon
SG A. Iguodala
PG E. Boydkins
PF D. West
SF R. Dupree
PF D. Milicic

PF A. Varejao
SF K. Korver
PG. R. Lopez

The last three are signed as free agents for one year, the other ones are with original contracts.

I would like: a) a better back-up Center and I would like to do something at SF since McCarthy sucks.
I would like to keep TD, KG, Miller, William, Gordon and if possible Milicic, Korver, Lopez.

Thanks for giving it a try.

Any suggestions?

Also, talking of trades: What do the green bars mean? If there is a green bar on my team, does that mean that the CPU team would like to have that player? Also, on the CPU team, is it willing to trade players with a lot of green or no green at all (if green indicates how much the CPU "likes" that player).

Mon May 30, 2005 8:51 pm

The green bar shows a team's interest in a player or position. Example, if Chicago's starting PF is Othella Harrington, their interest in better PF's (rating of 60+) will be almost full, if not full.

For your team, the CPU basically does the same thing for you, suggesting you should try to get that player or solidfy that position.

Hope that makes sense

Thanks, but that trade is not working. They decline ALL the time. :( Also tried some other players to trade for Swift and Williams, but they keep rejecting my bid.

Tue May 31, 2005 12:18 pm

V 15

OK, lets try something else...

K Thomas
M Peterson
C Arroyo

for....

Hinrich
Chandler
E Robinson

Change Peterson to a SF before the trade, Im pretty sure Chicago crave PF's and SF's

Tue May 31, 2005 12:27 pm

Doc Elk

Looks like a pretty good team, I would probably make room to let emerging stars like Iguodala and Gordon become starters....

Id trade.....

M Miller
J Williams
W McCarty
(estimating their salaries to total 15mil?)

for a star PG, maybe Marbury / B Davis and a backup SG

Ive used Iguodala at SF for phili dynasties and after a couple seasons and work on his shooting he puts up 16ppg, 7rpg and some steals n blocks. Gordon's ratings go up by 5 per season for the first 2 or 3...

T Duncan
K Garnett
A Iguodala
B Gordon
B Davis / S Marbury

now thats a dope team...

Again didnt work. However... I puzzled it out a little bit myself, and this is what I came up with:

T. Thomas
Arroyo

for

Davis
Chandler

and

K. Thomas
J. Williams

for

Arenas
Jared Jeffries

and both Chicago and Washington accepted.

Now this is what I'm running:

Ilgauskas
Chandler
Carter
Peterson [ah well, he's doing the job]/ Hardaway
Arenas

Thu Jun 02, 2005 1:57 am

hey, i need a PF/C... it must be a tough defender, like Chandler or Taylor...

heres my roster:

J.James
Radmanovic
Lewis
Allen
Ridnour

A.Daniels
Murray
Fortson
Potapenko
Collison
D.Wilkins
R.Evans.

thanks in advance! as much as possible, my trade must come at the bench, cause i have too many PF, i am contented with just right rating. not that high, not that low. thanks! :)
