Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

Just started upmy eleventeenth Celtic-dynasty and decided to do something diffrent. Going into semi-rebuildingmode and quickly ditching Pierce.
So, I wanted at new PF that would make Walker look like the soft b*tch he is (i'm not his biggest fan...) and replace PP with a younger, talanted, non-headcase SF with size. Or that was the plan. I also didn't want to go away from a big expiring when I ship Walker, so I wanted another.
After looking around I knew a couple of players I wanted, them being Martin, Deng and Hardaway.
First trade:
Walker
Allen
for
Davis
Deng
Boston upside - making my goal and getting a young übertalanted (in my opinion anyhow) SF that can do it all and then some.
Chicago upside - Getting a all-star PF with a big expiring and adding an energetic SG so Gordon/Hinrich/Duhon/Allen can alternate on the 1-2. Ridding themselves of a crap contract in Davis.
Second trade:
Paul Pierce
Mark Blount
for
Kenyon Martin
Eduardo Najera
Boston upside - Blount horrible contract goes away and the energetic slamdunkin' Martin joins the revamped Celtics. Najera playing second fiddle to Deng at SF.
Denver - Adding the all-star SG/SF (arguable) that they need in Pierce while solving the Nene-situation.
Third trade:
Antonio Davis
future 1st rounder (I'll give it to them somehow during the 2006 or 2007 season. Didn't know how to pull it off realistically otherwise
for
Penny Hardaway
Boston upside - Expiring contract in Hardaway
NYK upside - a probable midround pick during the deeper '06-draft.

wow i really like your trade.
Chicago won't do that trade however cause it leaves them only 1 SF (Nocioni).
But i really like your team, K-Mart as your primary scorer and deng&jefesonare your future.
Well done

For Live, just reassign Walker to SF. He plays more like one anyway.
I think IRL it wouldn't happen because the Bulls expressly got Davis because his contract is expiring, so the Walker/Davis isn't so relevant, they plan on not resigning that contract regardless. So it's basically a swap of Deng for Allen. Bulls are too heavy on small guards already, and Washington made that painfully apparent.
And whoever they get on SF, it needs to be a very good defender so they can cover for Gordon or Pargo, who can't play D yet. You usually see their SF (Nocioni or Deng) covering the other team's shooter (Ray, Kobe, etc). Not sure how Walker is on defense...probably not better than Nocioni, who got a vote for the All-Defense team.
I think that's always been the problem with Walker finding a home..most teams already have long range shooting covered, what most teams need out of a Forward is defense and athleticism...guys more like Stromile or Chandler or Delambert.

I'm in love with Deng. He is wonderful. He starts for my team at SF but plays the SG also with a combo of Davis/Hardaway/West combining for the SG and SF-spot.
The Celtics is a TEAM now, with an average benchscoring per game of 35-45.
Deng is averaging 18-7-7 over 39 minutes.

Yep, Deng is an awesome all-around player...Bulls pulled off a heist by getting him AND gordon...most thought they would use the high pick for Deng...they gambled Deng would fall enough for them to work a deal for him and made out like bandits.

I like all the trades
