Shouldn't be any problems with the PC version. I believe it's possible to play online with the PAL console versions, so long as you have a network adapter.

Do you have a network adapter? If not, you won't be able to play online.

MUST THE PC USERS USE THE NETWORK ADAPTER.
I KNOW THE IP ADDRESS IS ENOUGH TO PLAY ONLINE :argue:

No you don't need a Network Adapter, that's hardware for the PS2. But if you don't have a good Internet connection it's not a lot of fun.

Again: you need a Network Adapter to play online games. If you have one, it's functioning correctly and there's no option to Play Online in NBA Live 2005, then it's not possible. But without a Network Adapter, you can't. That is a necessary piece of additional hardware for the PS2 required to play online games.
