Those trades suck.
I would rather have Yao over Camelo since you have McGrady. Piatkowski is an awesome shooter (over 80 FG, 80 3pts, 80 FT), he might be only a 48 and have little defence skills but he can have an impact and score 20 points in a game if you use him right. I shoot from anywhere when he is open and will score most of the time.
Knight and Santiago, which you just acquired, can just be waived as the team have no use for them if you have James and Lue at PG.
Now your C/PF positions are a combo of Nene, Santiago, Taylor and Weatherspoon. Taylor at 61 is highest rated.
So basically you have the equivalent of the NJ Nets with McGrady and Carmelo instead of Jefferson and Vince... but without Jason Kidd... and no front court impact player, only Nene at 60.
Ruling: GM nilsoishi fired!

I dont think the trade has been made wisely,you've got great outside(T-Mac),you should have a solid inside,that makes your team better.Yao plays great on defense
Sun May 08, 2005 3:13 pm
actually my trades were not complete and now my team is
centers and power forwards
- nene, maurice taylor, zhizhi, haslem
small forwards and shooting guards
- carmelo anthony, t-mac, iguodala, kyle korver and jimmy jackson
point guards
- mike james, troy hudson and brevin knight
I really dont like my team so much... Maurice Taylor is not my favorite post guy, but my perimeter guys are quite good... and i can even play with Iguodala and Jimmy Jackson substituing quite well carmelo and t-mac one at a time... im quite satisfied with my point guards...
I wanted to trade Jimmy Jackson and Maurice Taylor... but its quite impossible cause their salaries caps dont match, i tried maurice taylor for kelvin cato, but no offer were accepted...
and the reason for this topic is for each one try to make the best rockets team for themselves... if you dont like carmelo, post what trades you would have done...
Sun May 08, 2005 3:55 pm
A friend of mine says that Maurice Taylor is the best PF he has used,he will never let him go,he could score 44 points in the game against the West all-stars!!!!!!! (superstar level,5 mins/quarter):shock: You wont believe what I say,will you???
I will post my roster and trades,I've done it,but not available at hand right now(at school).wait few days alright?
Mon May 09, 2005 12:55 pm
m.taylor is the bomb for me..he can dunk anytime he wants in my rockets team........right now after 4 years of dynasty he is at 82 and he is earning 12 million for me...never gonna let him go too...he is a good sub for yao
Mon May 09, 2005 4:38 pm
M. Taylor is a good uy not to high rating but very usefull
Mon May 09, 2005 4:45 pm
good rebounder and a big time dunker...FT is also good from him.....he's a bit short though

This isn't in any way realistic, but ...
Version 1
J.Howard, M.Taylor, B.Sura -> A.Walker (Hawks)
Sign A.Mourning (FA)
A.Walker, C.Weatherspoon -> E.Okafor, E.House (Charlotte)
Sign K.Malone (FA)
A.Mourning -> G.Wallace (Charlotte)
K.Malone -> K.Brown (Wizards)
K.Brown, G.Wallace -> R.Lewis (Sonics)
M.Jackson, E.House, C.Ward -> B.Jackson (Kings)
C: Yao Ming
PF: Okafor
SF: Lewis
SG: McGrady
PG: Bobby Jackson
Just fine tuning for personal preference...
E.Okafor, T.Lue -> L.Hughes, S.Blake (Wizards)
L.Hughes, E.Piatkowski, J.Jackson -> K.Martin (Nuggets)
B.Jackson, R.Livingston (FA) -> D.George (Lakers)
D.George, A.Griffin -> K.Hinrich, C.Trybanski (Bulls)
C: Yao Ming
PF: K.Martin
SF: Lewis
SG: McGrady
PG: Hinrich
My favorite 6th man is actually Biedrins who is dirt cheap to get.
I'm not sure if Okafor & Jimi Jackson for K-Mart is worthwhile, Jax is such a great 6th man. And Bobby Jackson for Hinrich is really totally dependent on your style..Bobby is a sick penetrator and even better shooter but below average passer, Hinrich is one of the better pass-first guards in Live.
Tue May 10, 2005 11:25 am
^ Rosters a little outdated, maybe some of them wouldn't work with the new rosters, but really good!
Tue May 10, 2005 11:29 am
Yeah i went with default, i thought that's what the OP wanted.
Tue May 10, 2005 1:35 pm
I prefer Okafor rather than K. Martin... I really love Rashard Lewis and I don´t like playing with either bobby jackson or mike bibby...
but I like very much the trades that you make for rashard lewis... But I think the team lost a lot of power forwards and strength on the bench...
Its a matter of taste, but I would play with your team easily...

That's an excellent roster anyway,but what I wanna ask is how can you sign such free agents as A.Mourning or K.Malone?I think you should have no salary cap space?I've tried many times,but A.Mourning always says that my team has no salary cap space?
Thu May 12, 2005 1:22 am
I really dont think he really tried this trades, he just look for similar salary caps and tried so... But the trades are quite valuable... you can really get antoine walker for the guys...
Thu May 12, 2005 12:50 pm
These are real trades, i did them all.
You can sign Malone & Zo because i traded roughly $14M in salaries for Walker who is about the same but 1 person, then traded Walker for Okafor, who makes only a few million. I eliminated more than $10 M in salary with just that move.
The move works because w/ the default rosters, Atlanta needs a lot of players, and Charlotte doesn't need a lot of players but needs a star. The CPU takes the trades easily.
Thu May 12, 2005 1:16 pm
Then you should do A.Walker, C.Weatherspoon -> E.Okafor, E.House (Charlotte)
first???And sign Zo next.
Thu May 12, 2005 7:00 pm
I find your trades still not feasible.
J.Howard, M.Taylor, B.Sura -> A.Walker (Hawks)
A.Walker, C.Weatherspoon -> E.Okafor, E.House (Charlotte)
Sign A.Mourning (FA)
A.Mourning -> G.Wallace (Charlotte)
Sign K.Malone (FA)
How could you sign K.Malone?
Fri May 13, 2005 9:51 am
what's your cap once you traded Mourning for Wallace?
There might have been 1 more trade to reduce cap involving minor players, not sure i erased the savegame by now.
Sat May 21, 2005 4:51 am
my new rockets team
CENTERS AND POWER FORWARDS
yao ming, dwight howard, karl malone, robert horry and diop
SMALL FORWARDS AND SHOOTING GUARDS
jerry stackhouse, josh howard, dion glover
POINT GUARDS
damon jones, jeff mcinnis, rod strickland, kenny anderson
Sat May 21, 2005 8:17 am
M. Taylor has got great ballhandling and speed for his size,he's definetely great to have on any team.
Mon May 23, 2005 9:32 am
Nice team there, you're a virtual Mark Cuban! Bold move to trade McGrady but looks like you got a ton in return.
I'd trade Malone & Horry, i believe they both retire after their contracts end, and Malone usually doesn't sign to more than 1 or 2 years.
Mon May 23, 2005 1:58 pm
i signed with karl malone and rod strickland because they are both great players and they will retire... with both retiring i will have almost 9 million to waste... and they are good rated as 69 and 60... so if they dont retire i can have a good trade...
robert horry is a nice player and i hope that he will retire in 2 or 3 years... he and malone are making miracles in the bench...
mainly by now that JERRY STACKHOUSE was hurt and josh howard is playing as starter... i signed with glen rice just for having the bench small forward...
