need a video of a dunk

Postby norritt on Tue Apr 26, 2005 6:48 am

Hello NBA friends!

I am about to make a short movie in a graphic programm with a szene of a basketball player turning around, running to the basket and making a dunk.

unfortunatly I do not have any good video reference that I could trace in graphics and style it that way I imagine. I need a correct animation but my "out-of-my-mind" tryouts do not look smooth enough.

So I have had that idea: tracing a captured video game sequenze. Ok, I do not own NBA live 2005 as well as I do not think that I will get that fast that good, that the moves will look nice and the way I want it to look.

So here the big question to all of you, that want to help me:
Could someone video-capture such a szene:
1. player is visible from the front.
2. player is turning left 270° and than running to the basket located at the left of the screen.
3. jump
4. dunk
5. landing

Camera should be always at the same height (ca. stomach of the player at 1. picture) and not move vertically just horizontal.

Can someone imagine what I mean? Is it possible to do such a short video in NBA Live 2005? Would somone be so kind and help me? I am really in need of this as soon as possible (because of a deadline at 10. may for presentation).

thank you a lot!

That is great action, filip! Thank you!

Seconds 0:40- 0:45 of vol2 are what I mean, with my points 3-5, but not the camera view I need. I need to show the action from the left side view.

What I miss is player from front view with the ball (my point 1 - something like that one: http://www.nba.com/suns/0001images/marb ... bbling.jpg ) than he turns to his left 270° and is running straight to the basket. In fact, that is exactly like like in the video vol 2 from filip. The speed is great, the number of steps he did is great, the dunk and action is perfect. but I need it from the side view.

Oh, and no other player are needed for that, as well as no passing etc. Just that one boy with the ball :)

PS: If you know where such action as real video (NBA or whatever) is, just point me to the link. So it does not has to be NBA Live 2005, real live action is great as well, it just has to match the storyboard ;)
