Trading draft picks

Wed Apr 20, 2005 10:58 pm

I can't trade draft picks, cuz the other team always decline my offer.
What should i do to provide that the other team wiil accept my offer? Cuz I don't wanna trade too good players like J. Howerd or M. James (I'm playing with the rockets). I want to trade players with overall under 60.
thx for your help.

Try trading your Draft pick and a player for there draft pick and a low player

it also depends on the time you trade. i.e. if you are trading neard the deadline, the other teams are more likely to accept the trade. and by the way, draft picks aren't worth that much, even the lottery picks. trading drafts picks are a real pain in the ass.

I didn't buy live 2004 but I know it wasn't in 2003. So since it was the first year with the option, you can pretty much expect that next year, the process will go better and trading picks will be more doable. And then in 2007 or 2008, we might be able trade picks 2 or 3 years ahead, like real life, but for now just be happy that the option is there even if it doesn't really work - its a good sign of things to come...

And like everyone said, just trade for the guy right after the draft... its as close to draft day trading... which will most likely come in future version also...

Trading picks was in NBA Live 2004 as well. It was about the same as NBA Live 2005, it was perhaps slightly better in this year's edition.
