Live 2005 defense problems ??

hey guy i was wonderin gif anyone has this problem as well. i have started a dynasty team. when i play in a real games none of my guys challenge any of the opposing teams shots unless i do myself. the CPU controller guys just stand a watch the other team shoot three pointers. when i am on offense the other team contest every shot they even block like 1/2 of them.
which slider controls this or how do i fix it.

its because ur using Superstar level, its something that EA did to try to make it more realistic like in real life where players dont jump to pumpfakes and so forth, no fix, all you can do is either let it go or control that player yourself

its not pumpfakes it's every shot. i had 2005 on my old machine and it worked fine. now on the new machine it is doing this crap. when most shot would get contested. now they just stand and watch.
maybe i was not clear here is an example.

ex) my defense is set to 1/2 court man to man. the opposing team dribbles down the court and shoot a three pointer. my defender stands there and does nothing. the three pointer goes in.

how i dribble down the court and a go to shoot the three and the computer jumps and tries to block my shot.

now y doesn't my man try to block the shot?

no i wasnt talking about computer pumpfaking, i was giving you an example of why EA Sports did that to real life

i should of ask what difficulty you were playing on first but sounds very much Superstar, if you are not using Superstar then i dont kno

but its never happened before. and this is like the 5th dynasty i have played.

oh really? were u playing superstar before? cuz superstar only does that, if you been on superstar all this time, then i really not sure

On All-Star they don't always contest, but most of the time... On super-star they never contest... Makes you more honest and not just letting the AI do all the defensive work while you coast around guarding a bench guy instead of TMac with the ball...

superstar is for players who play every aspect of the game and dont rely on the cpu do do some of the work. on superstar you have to do all the work to win.
