Your Opinion: Offseasen Warriors Dynasty

Postby Beri112 on Mon Apr 11, 2005 11:29 pm

Hey Folks,

got my Warriors Dynasty startet, and mad some Moves, my Lineup so far:

C Andris Biedrins
PF Troy Murphy---->FA
SF Mickael Pietrus
SG Michael Redd
PG Damon Jones
6th K. Korver--->FA
7. D. Davis ---> FA
8. R. White---->FA
9. S. Claxton
10. N. Tskitishvili
11. Z. Cabarkapa
12. J. Kapono---->FA
13. J. White----> FA
14. Rasual Butler

since alot of FA´s at the End of the Season i´m in to make some Moves, who´m should i keep (murph is a Monster in the Paint but will he be to Expensive?), (Kapono, Korver, R. White?) Davis is not a bad Center as well, but im into go big in the Draft, there will be T. Splitter and J. Petro available at the time i pick (close to the TOP10 i guess), i also thinking about signing Abdur-Rahim and put him in the starting SF Spot. The PG Spot is´nt very good if you teke the ratings Jones 62 and Speedy 60) but they work good for me, as Jones hands out 8Ast per game at the moment and shoots well from ThreePointRange + Speedy is a good Defender (No. 3 in Steals) but lacks Offensive Skills. What do you think: try to get a PG or go Big, resign somebody or let go????

Keep Korver and Kapono, for me they're some of the best pure shooters in the league...I almost always try to get the both of them.

Two choices:
-Move Troy at C( in Live he can do it) and get Reef for PF or draft a big man.

-Move White at PF ( he's a great all-around PF in Live) with Murphy at C and draft a good PG (Chris Paul?)

For a heavy 3 point shooting team, you'll probably want to 2 quality rebounding big men, so definitely keep the Murph. I remember a sequence where Fizer pulled in 3 offensive boards in a row for me, nailed the 3 on the third shot.

Strength seems to help a lot with rebounding (true?). I never paid attention to that stat before, but i see guys like Rodney Rogers just shove aside my centers to grab a board.

@ maes:
Yes thats right need good Rebounders, the only one is Murph, its Priority to keep him. Dale Davis is good as well, but i dont think he want to resign for lower money.

@ D-Weaver:
Chris Paul will be definetly out of reach for me, hes projected No#1 Pick.
Maybe i get a shot on Deron Williams. I will try Murph in the C Spot for the next few Games to see how it works for me.

@madsnyb:
Yes they are great, but i got a few good shooters, Korver,Kapono, Butler, D.Jones, and of course Redd. So i guess its better to let one go and go after some Rebound-Monster.

Thanx for your suggestions, will keep you up how it ends. :wink:

Ok This is what i finally got:

Risigned: Murphy and Korver

Drafted: N. Alexandrov on 9. and (what a steal :!: ) HAKIM WARRICK on 39.

Signing FA´s i need a Center who is able to Rebound, so i signend Sammy Dalembert and Luke Schenscher who wasnt drafted.

So my Lineup looks like this:

C Sammy Dalembert
PF Troy Murphy
SF N. Alexandrov (hes a 71 after Trainig Camp)
SG Michael Redd
PG Damon Jones
6th Hakim Warrick PF (63)
7th Mickael Pietrus SG/SF
8th Andris Biedrins C
9th Speedy Claxton PG
10th K. Korver SF/SG
11th L. Schenscher C (52)
12 Rasual Butler SF/SG

Got Capspace for next Season for a PG (got a shot at Stoudamire or van Exel, but diceded not to take them, they were to expensive or want to much years) D. Jones, Speedy, Butler and Schenscher will be FA´s next Season, only Problem is Micheal Redd as well, will cost me lots of Money to resign him i guess, but hes worth it.
