NBA Live 2005 Editor v2.0 Released

Diego Rostagnol has released a new version (v2.0) of his editor for NBA Live 2005. Some of the features include:

- Select roster files to edit
- Edit player and team data
- Trade and release players
- Reorder team rosters
- Import graphics such as face and portrait files
- User-friendly interface

You can download the latest version here. Please note that you would have to download the Microsoft .NET framework for this utility to work properly. A huge thanks to Diego for his hard work on this fantastic project.

Hi...

I have problems with editor...

if i hit 2 clicks in mouse in PLAYER NAME....apears this message:

"UNABLE TO LOAD THE PLAYER INFORMATION"

What is this???

I´m installed 3 programs required:

*Microsoft Data Access Component 2.8
*Microsoft Frame Works 1.1
* The last version of Microsoft Visual Fox Pro Driver

But not work´s....

HELP!

Diego told me about that problem but I never experienced it myself. He said that if it fails on the first try, it usually works when you try to open the player's data window on the second attempt.

The Andrew's answer is right, This hapend to me all the times but he don't have these problem, The problem magically disapear when you try view the player information again.

PD: Is posible that you don't have all the filoes required for these player (Portrait and face)

i have the same problem but even after the 1st try & 2nd, etc. it still says unable.... with any player but everything else works

Load NLSC rosters....

I try 1st, 2nd, 3rd........50th, but not work´s!

Hi All.

I don't know what is the problem, the editor work for me and Andrew test it before the release.

A lot of process are maded when you try to load a player (Load the portr4ait, the face, etc) maybe the problem is in one of these thing, please verify that you have a full installation of NBA Live 2005, if the problem continue please try to re-install your NBA Live.

Not Work here! for NBA original Players...

Just Work in created players....because don´t show player portrait pics, i believe......

So, will I be able to re-arrange my Sonics dynasty with this or does it have to be a Roster file?

It should work with Dynasty saves since they contain they contain the same data files (players.dbf, appearance.dbf etc) - I haven't noticed any problems with that so far.

I noticed the editor fails ("unable to load player info") when you try to load players without cyberface or portrait, like the generated rookies or created players. However this happens only for some players, not for all

It works for created players but otherwise, it doesn't work at all.

Edit : I can't install the last version of Microsoft Visual Fox Pro Driver, as soon as I launch the install, it closes...

I just traded Emeka Okafor for Shaq, I feel like a thief now. I think I better just use it for editing files, I feel like a cheater now... along with trading Jason Hart for Jason Kidd... oops.

It seems that a lot of people have the same problem, I don't know what is the problem because in my PC all work ok. SERAPH told me that if you use something called "custom ART" (I don't know what is this) the graphics for the players are located in an otrher folder and not in the original NBA Live file, maybe this is part of the problem.

well it' seems that your problem is in the database, I think that some file (portrait or cyberface) is missed from the files where all the faces and portraits should be.

Well, I see that you can load some players, but with others you have problems. the "Not row at position 0" is because your database is crashed, it is that you have a registry with a dependencie from other table that is missed, for example each player have a dependencie in appeareance.dbf, if the registry is missed, the tool will not work properly, this can hapend with all the data, (socks, shoes, etc).

Please write all your problems here and if you found a solution or have an idea where can be the problem please tellme it.

I try, to import every portraits and feces component, result all players works in game but bug in the editor Justin reed work no more.

I'm very confused with the problem, I use the tool in my game and all work perfectly, try to make a clean installation of the game (Unisntall and install again without patches) and see if the tool work correct in this way, ¿ someone can do this test ?

WAIT!! I have an idea, copy all de DLL files in the NBA Live 2005 Editor instalation folder into your windows/system or windows/system32 folder, maybe in you machines the tool can't found these files in the same directory of the NBAeditor.exe.
