ei guys..i was hoping to see a roster patch with their original ratings.. i thought that was the one ur gonna post..
i really find it unrealistic and bias.. i hope you make a roster patch with their original ratings on, adding the missing players, moving players to thei respective teams, signing free agents..
basically just update the roster and add the missing players...without updating the player's rating, just use the original one that EA gave..
i would really appreciate that..
tnx guys...

Sorry, I don't have time to make another update from scratch, and I never said I was releasing a version with original ratings.

Umm... do it yourself. Just press default rosters and do all the transactions yourself...

the problem is i dont know how to add the missing players..
can u teach me how..?
i was hoping to add them not by creating them in the game..

You create them from within the game, and modify some of their attributes through DBF editing. More information about DBF values can be found in the NBA Live 2005 section over on the main site.

yes i did that..
i created them within the game and used excel to edit the players.dbf..
what i did was copied the whole row of the missing player from one of your roster patches and pasted it to the ones i created in my roster..copying all the attributes..
but then when i played the dynasty mode the game crashes evrytime..
is there something wrong with what i did? Ü

Yes, you used Excel. If you save the changes incorrectly in Excel, you'll corrupt the database. Use DB Commander instead. That copy and paste method often results in errors.

using db commander.. how do i add missing players?
is this right? i create a player with any name in the game then i open the db commander delete the ones i created in the game(the whole row) then transfer all of the data of a missing player from one of your patches to my saved roster? is this right? how about the "playerid" ?i suspect its wrong..what should i do?
man i really appreciate you teaching me..thanks alot..

Easiest way, if you want to use my ratings but don't want to write them all down, is to create the players, then open up your saved roster and my roster in DB Commander, one in the left window and one in the right. Then you can just copy the ratings data over manually. That's how I've updated the All-Star teams in the past.

how about the "playerid"? do i still hav to change that? will it not cause errors..if i dont change that..since it might double some values..i was planning to use the playerid of the ones i created in the game..is that right?and its ok to create a player with any name right..
thanks.. Ü

You can't use the PLAYERIDs that were added when you created the players from within the game. Just copy over the other bio data (though be careful when copying TEAM and ROSTERPOS values - if you've already placed a created player on a team, don't copy those values across from my rosters, especially ROSTERPOS).

so does that mean that for example i was to add a player say jermaine jackson.. what im going to do is create a player in the game with any name..like "a a" for simplicity..then i copy the data from your roster to mine..and delete "a a".. or should i create a player named jermaine jackson also to ocerwrite the ones i created since it has the same names?
and another question..for example jermaine jackson's playerid value is 1559 in your roster..and i copy the data into my roster.. what if there is already a player with playerid value equal to 1559.. would this cause any error?
thanks again andrew... Ü

That's what I'm saying. It's probably best if you create the players yourself and if you want to use my ratings, copy them over. Duplicate PLAYERIDs do cause errors, so if you do copy any data from my patch don't copy the PLAYERIDs.
