Text Roster v1.09 Released

Postby Andrew on Mon Mar 14, 2005 3:34 pm

For console users looking to update their rosters and PC gamers looking to update their Dynasty games through DBF editing, here is the latest text roster update for NBA Live 2005. Like the regular PC update, it's accurate as of March 12th, 2005.

I haven't included CAPs in this one as I would really like to go back and fix up some of the earlier players I've created. However, I suggest you check out this excellent CAP site, which I've also linked to in README.txt. They've got CAPs for all the missing players who have played in the NBA this season.

Thanks, but I can't take credit for those CAPs, I didn't make that site. I'll probably include my own CAPs after I make some improvements but for now, I think the CAPs on that site should suffice. ;)

Through Google. I wanted to include my own CAPs in this update but I felt some of them weren't up to scratch, so I wanted to direct console users to a good CAP site in the meantime.

I can't believe they lowered Donyell Marshall's 3 point rating after he just tied the NBA record.

Who's "they"? I don't think I lowered Marshall's rating in this update (I know I raised it a couple of updates back), I was certainly thinking of bumping him up a couple of points after his record-tying performance.

Speaking of 3 point rating, how do you determine this? Not by percentage?

Ridnour: .391 ... 63
Hinrich: .352 ... 81

Do you use # made? Or maybe a mix?

I don't use any stats-to-ratings formulas as I feel they're a bit rigid and don't allow for any variables. I work in ranges.
