Rename Arenas

Postby FREDtheBeerMan on Mon Mar 14, 2005 12:45 am

To all roster makers, can you rename the following arenas to the real names in your roster please:

Boston-from Celtics Arena to Fleet Center
All Special All-Star Teams in Vancouver-from EA SPORTS Arena to General Motors Place

And maybe some others that I may not be aware of. And can you please make all names of all arenas currently in use. Thanks!

I see that you updated the location.dbf files in v1.10, but only the arena names in the STADIUM column, but not in the LOLOCATION column. So will this column be updated as well for your next roster version?

Is it possible to have separate location.dbf files for each roster file?

Like if I want to to a retro roster set, can I make a custom location.dbf that puts the Celtics in the Boston Garden instead of FleetCenter?

Yes it is, location.dbf is stored in the saves folder so each roster can use its own.

By the way, could you rename the All-Star Arena to Pepsi Center ? I think it'd be better but it's just me...

Sure - I thought it was already named the Pepsi Center but I can fix that too.

I've got v1.11 with your remodified location.dbf files. But there's just one more adjustment needed. Just to avoid confusion for arena selection, can you please fix the following (contains text re-entered from the original location.dbf):

LOCATIONID CITY STATE STADIUM LOLOCATION
41 Vancouver BC General Motors Place GM Place - 50's All-Stars
42 Vancouver BC General Motors Place GM Place - 60's All-Stars
43 Vancouver BC General Motors Place GM Place - 70's All-Stars
44 Vancouver BC General Motors Place GM Place - 80's All-Stars
45 Vancouver BC General Motors Place GM Place - 90's All-Stars
46 Vancouver BC General Motors Place GM Place - International
47 Vancouver BC General Motors Place GM Place - European
48 Vancouver BC General Motors Place GM Place - All-Star Arena

Thanks again

 Oh F**K! This forum screwed up the spacing of the list that I had made above after I submit. I'm so sorry about this. Andrew, I hope you can understand what this list was intended to look like, and I hope you can figure it out. Thanks again

I've got v1.12. But after checking it out, I have a question. Did you forget something? :wall:
