HELP - Graphics problem

So I updated my driver on Gateway and now when i play the game the players are all fuzzy...anyone know what this is?
iu wanted to improve me graphics card so that lighting would work. i can't even figure out what kind of graphics card I have.
I did download the Radeon Omega Driver for XP v2.5.58
It says to install it I must uninstall the ATI Control Panel. Is it worth it? Will it improve my graphics?
