questions about stamina bar, substitutions and draft picks

Wed Feb 09, 2005 10:35 pm

Sorry but NBA Live 2005 ist my first NBA Game since 97 or 98 (I don't know anymore) thats why i still have some questions.

1. ) Stamina Bar
I play Allstar and 8 minutes each quarter but the stamina bar does not change. It just stays the same the whole season. When do the player get tired?

2. ) Substitutions
The CPU teams don't do any substitutions unless a player gets into foul trouble. Why?

3.) Trading Draft Picks
I'm confused because it worked before but now i'm not able to trade any draft picks even when i try before the deadline. No matter how good my offer is, the cpu teams say that they are not interested in trading draft picks. Another thing that's confusing me: The interest of every draft pick is full, no matter if it's the first round or second round pick and no matter if it's the team with the best or worst record. What am i doing wrong?

Would be great if you could help me. :)

1. you need to turn on fatigue in your sliders

2. same thing as one, if fatigue is on they'll sub more often. also check auto sub sliders.

Q1 & Q2 sounds like you either got fatigue turned off and/or your sliders are adjusted to fatigue being set to zero.....just adjust them and subbing will work.....

Q3 - it's bloody hard to trade for a draft pick....you're not the only one that has problems....check out some of the other threads on this topic and you should get the info you need....

1.) and 2.) were solved, thank you guys :)

I know it's not easy to trade draft picks, but it worked before but nothing is working right now.

For example: I wanted to trade Ming, McGrady and a First-Round-Pick to the Knicks for A. Houston (a stupid trade i know) ;) But the knicks didn't accept because they are not interested in trading draft picks. I tried again but without a draft pick and it worked. Hello? Where's the logic? :x

rofl, what kinda trade is that :)

at what part of the season are you? i've been told that trading draft picks will only be accepted near the end of the trading deadline...

I think it's time related. At any given time a month or two past the beginning of the season there are 2-3 teams that are willing to trade picks, but you cannot find them unless you cheat a little and use the save/load function so that game time does not progress.

I know it's the most stupid trade i could do but it was an experiment. Ming and T-Mac are my favs and i never would trade them in my real dynasty. I'm still clear in my mind.
It didn't work despite i tried the trade near the deadline.

I'm just confused because i used to trade a lot of draft picks but after reinstalling NBA 2005 no trade works.

its just coincidence. heck i tried to trade reggie miller for juwan howard once and they never accept it. but then when i reinstalled the game because of the shoe cheat they are so willing to accept it right away that they PDA me the next day.

one question though. what made you abandon nbalive from 99 up to now?
