trading

i had a quick q about trading...when you send off a trade proposal, if it gets accepted, do you have a chance to confirm it or does it automatically go through if the other team accepts? I like to see whether or not the other team is willing to deal until I'm 100% ready...i'm sure most of you have traded in your games and i'm afraid to progress my dynasty until i know...thanks in advance

It's automatically accepted. A confirm/cancel option would be great (it was on this year's Wishlist. ;)).

I would not actually want the option to CHANGE the trade. I mean if you proposed it then you should mean it. I do NOT want the last years options to return where people would propose something then add some crap players along and finally through long testing get accepted a deal where player always gets the better end. It was silly and stupid. This year you have time-limit (somewhat) but as well you have the position where you have to make up a trade and see if it works with the intention of meaning it from day one.

I definetly do NOT want to see this returned where player makes an offer computer accepts immediately, and then turn it down making a new offer giving them less, and less until theres the limit and then accepting it with the player interest and not computers really.

THis doesnt work in real life. In real life no one offers, that really gets accepted and then starts pulling the offer down more and more. THe team this is being offered to would send the offering team to hell after the second try.

It was terrible those last years, jeez...

dats your opinion. but in real life evrybody calls and try if the other team really wants to deal or not. even at the brink of inking a deal a last minute call can stop it. so the cancel button will still be a good option.

I understand where you're coming from, but teams do back out of trades. They also generally aren't accepted or rejected without some negotiation. The ability to make counter-offers or shop players to see what interest there is would not only be an improvement, it would be pretty realistic.

Consider some of the deals that are agreed to in principle, then finalised with additional players or cancelled altogether. As long as the trading logic is good and it's not easy to get the better of the CPU in a deal, I don't see how being able to review a trade before it's completed is a terrible idea or unrealistic. As long as the CPU is "aware" of the value of its players, you wouldn't be able to give them a bad deal.
