cpu teams don't trade players

Mon Jan 03, 2005 5:28 am

is there any way to make the cpu teams trade players in dynasty mode?

Mon Jan 03, 2005 6:00 am

they already do in dynasty mode, i think its the default setting anyway

Mon Jan 03, 2005 6:04 am

Yea for some reason the cpu doesnt offer any trades to my team. I have been playing the dynasty for long time with different teams and still no offers

Mon Jan 03, 2005 6:11 am

mmm cant understand why not the nets made an offer for sweetney in my dynasty but i do admit that it almost never happens.

Offseason!

Mon Jan 03, 2005 6:24 am

It happens a lot in the off-season for me

Mon Jan 03, 2005 6:26 am

yeah same for me too, as long as i get one or two offers a year then iam happy

Mon Jan 03, 2005 6:45 am

I never get offers probably i have the cpu trading thing off. I will go check

Mon Jan 03, 2005 7:49 am

Rarely happens for me too. :(

I think you get alot more offers when you have some cap space.

The only time i've ever had offers from the computer is when I was using the bobcats, though all the offers where crap ones.

I've started dozens of dynasties to see if the CPU would offer me a trade. Only two. :?

I haven't had any yet in my main Dynasty, which is a little disappointing. However, it is good to see the CPU teams aren't making too many deals between themselves. In previous years there were too many deals, most of them unrealistic or unnecessary. I remember in NBA Live 2001, Mario Elie would almost always get traded for Jelani McCoy, while Ray Allen and Tracy McGrady swapped places a couple of times early in the season.

I usually get many trade offers when I have more than 3 players for one position. After the first season with the Heat I sign SF's to fill the hole on this position. I managed it to sign Krover, Wallace, Ariza and White. In the trade period I received offers form teams like Charlotte, San Antonio and Boston, all want to trade for one of my SF's.

In other dynasties I could replicate this. Every time when I had about 4 players for one position, teams which need a player on this position made trade offers to me. But this trades usually were not in my interest and so I had to reject them.

Makes sense...thanks for sharing that info, crossover. I'll have to try that.

I think unrealistic trades are better than no trades~~

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree there. I find less player movement more realistic than unlikely deals, but to each their own. (Y)

At least if the computer trade players to each, they should try a trade involving at least 3 or 4 players.

The last time I saw a good trade (involving only the computer cotrolled team) was when the Rockets traded JJackson for Clippers 1st round-pick. On the draft day Houston's two 1st round pick was 3rd and 4th respectively. :D

so far ive only seen one trade and it was during the off-season when it lets you trade it was a very minor deal bucks sending Gadzuric to NJ for Scalabrini. but i havent seen any trades during the season. 8-)

this was bugging me too but yesterday i started a dynasty with atlanta and i have already had about 5 offers

i think the trick is have multiple players in the same position, also atlanta have a lot of cap space so i think that helps too
