All Star Weekend Sliders

Postby ShivaSquad on Fri Dec 31, 2004 2:27 am

im about to play my rookie challenge game, but then i realize that i dunno wat sliders to set it on. i want to just hav fun and screw around dunking all game, and play as if its a real rookie challenge game.

im thinking about increasing the gamespeed to 65, which is the same as "Action" mode. but i wanna keep the sliders i hav, and put fatigue down to 40, and put cpu subs on high.

any recomendations?

*im playin superstar 8 min

You can't change the all star game or rookie game sliders...

do you think rook-soph sliders and all-star the same. i know we cant edit it but can somebody figure out the slider of this all-star game. coz i got problem playing with the rook-soph and it crash. i might create a custom team with the rook-soph line-up and will play it in regular exhibition match so i need a slider somewhat similar to the default rook-soph sliders. thanks

I think the sliders are just the ones from your "arcade" setting.

im talking about dynasty mode. if u play a random all star game or rookie challenge u cant, its arcade mode. im talkin bout inside dynasty mode, and u can. its the same as if its a regular game. try it urself, play a dynasty and sim to the rookie game and then wen ur inside the game go to Gameplay Settings and u can change the sliders

i was there, and i played around with it, just couldnt figure out wats the best

Yeah, the all-star/rookie-sophomore game in dynasty uses the current sliders. It's troublesome enough to re-adjust the sliders so that it represents the normal all-star game. That's why it's no fun heading to the all-star weekend in dynasty.

it also REALLY annoys me that u cant alley oop it off the backboard in the all star games in dynasty mode, but u can do it in regular. wats the point of not being allowed to it? if its not "realistic" (which it is, TMAC)... then giv us the option of doing it. y would EA restrict us? stupid stupid stupid!

Instead of looking forward to it, I usually dread the all-star weekend because:
1. All-star/ rookie-sophomore game is too boring with normal sliders
2. I can't enter the 3-pt shootout in my 2nd season.

Anyway, the lob off the backboard is sometimes too useless. Everytime I want to throw it in front of a defender, the defender usually intercepts before it's even being tossed! And it's too risky even during fastbreak.

But what about T-mac?

Even with the the "arcade" slider settings, it's still not the same!! :(

you don't need to readjust the sliders... just change the setting from "simulation" to "arcade" on the top-left hand corner of the sliders menu.

I dunno, sometimes I feel like the arcade settings are not the same like the normal all-star game. Correct me if I'm wrong.

mad handle i kno wat ur sayin, but i dont like doin that. arcade mode is only faster because the gamepseed is 65. all the other sliders r messed up like no fatigue, no fouls, lots of blocking. i dont like that, so id rather jus use my settings, and increase the speed, and lower the fouls. everything else coudl jus stay the same

yes, arcade settings are messed up.. but you could set them so that they have the your settings (less blocks, less fouls, increase speed etc), then you just save them as your arcade settings. Next time when you play all star game in the dynasty, you won't have to adjust your sliders again, you can just switch to the arcade settings.
