crazy spin move

Postby o_nl_y1 on Thu Dec 30, 2004 8:42 am

I saw this nice move in the intro video. I can't remember which player did it, but basically what it was was a spin move off the defender. The offensive player goes one way, then rolls off the defender and spins the other way. I've done it by accident a few times. Anyone know how to do it??

You hit post up back into the defender a bit, then push towards the hoop with the left analog and release post up.

I think he's talkin about the spin move wherein the player (offense) kinda sticks to the defensive player and the spin is much quicker than the regular spin.

Yeah, Mikki, that's the one I'm talking about. That's really a great way of putting it.....you sort of stick to the defender. Any idea how to do it?

Just push and hold the right analog stick up. It might take a few tries. If you try to spin far from the defender, he will make a useless spin move that could end up out of bounds. But if you spin near/in front of your defender, sometimes he will do the cool spin move where both of them run into an animation.

But most of the time, he will end up bouncing off the defender.

the spin moves are too fast in this game... my friend ruined this game for me... he played as TMac and the Rockets and scored 85 on me with TMac wit h6 minute quarters... It's kinda stupid how they can spin faster than they can sprint

If it's too fast, reduce the "freestyle effectiveness" slider.

great point and very true. FIX THIS PROBLEM EA! its ridiculous, if u play online, ppl will spin 10 times on fastbreaks up court because it allows u to get to the hoop faster! the spin should SLOW U DOWN, not speed u up. watch any nba game and u c that even players like rafer alston, dywane wade (amazing ballhandlers), cant spin that fast

Yeah, this sux. People instinctively know that using spin moves gives them advantages in fastbreak like they've gone mad or somethin'.
