Net graphics in 2005

Postby rockhpi on Wed Dec 29, 2004 2:22 pm

I recently upgraded to 2005 after having 2004 and I'm mostly happy with the changes but one thing's getting on my nerves: When the ball goes in the basket, it shows through the net...sometimes it makes it seem like the shot didn't go in. I've run replays to see if it's my eyes playing tricks on me, but there's a graphical glitch as far as I can tell. It looks like the net doesn't expand enough to let the ball through, but the ball travels through it anyway. Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, the net animations are a little off at times, but otherwise I feel the rim physics and animations are improved from past Lives.

It's too bad-I thought 2004 looked really good in this aspect.

I hate that when I jump up for a rebound that ball decides to make a second bounce on the rim, making sure that the offensive player gets an easy dunk.

Yeah... I agree. I wish there were some way to know when and where to jump for the rebound. ESPN 2k5 already has a feature that points the spot where the ball is likely to land on.

Called a Shadow! o.O

They neeed dif type of Rims. For On Court, They need the Slam Dunk Rim, for One-on-One Street they need the DoubledRim. SO stuff just bounces when its a miss not just roll around top. Because Doubled Rims are Doubled rims... They dont bounce if you miss it rollls in and out or bounces off a corner.. (A Corner in a circle :P )

But they really do need to fix the rims but im still killing cats in the game so doesnt matter =)
