Please note that a huge update will becoming early in the new year with mass updates to player ratings as well as few other overdue additions. For this update, I've made changes that were suggested after v1.02 as well as a few I spotted.

As usual, keep the suggestions coming but please base them on the latest version. Thanks. :)

Fri Dec 24, 2004 2:22 am

thank you

Help!!

Hey Andrew, why can't I use the shoes I've unlocked for my players?? I've even used the cheat code, but I still can't. I can't even select the default shoe for my player. The strange thing is that all the throwback jerseys can be selected.

I tried restoring it to the default roster and it works properly.

Anybody has this problem too? If not, maybe it has something to do with the patch because I've installed it.

Andrew, I didn't notice anything different with the Suns. They are still an 84 rating and the best defender they have, Joe Johnson is still a 37 defensive awareness rating. Are your old rosters in the new update instead of the new ones?

MaddenFreak, i think the only update is the VC trade.(correct me if im wrong andrew) coz he said in his post the another roster update will be coming with "mass update" to player ratings...

anyway, tnx andrew!

it really is christmas...i was just telling somebody yesterday about i cant wait for andrew's roster to come out and as soon as i refreshed the nlsc page, the roster came up  so i saw it as soon as you posted it. thanks agian andrew

hey andrew, i noticed you didn't update the atlanta hawks. ok, before you start laughing at me for noticing the hawks, it's because they got josh smith!

the starting lineup isn't up to date (boris diaw at the 1, josh and the 2). josh smith's ratings still gotta be up'd a bit (amazing 2 week in a row means it aint no fluke).

and what about kareem rush? i know he's a streaky player and all, but he should be around a 59 shouldn't he?

overall great patch.. keep up the excelente work!

Fri Dec 24, 2004 5:06 pm

Hey Andrew, you mentioned that you're going to release a patch with mass updates on player ratings. Does this mean you're going to re-rate all the players from the scratch??

Fri Dec 24, 2004 7:20 pm

As a fellow Chicago fan, I've noticed that Kirk Hinrich got a big boost. He deserved it but I think Gordon should be at around a 70 and not at the 66 he is.

I also think Luol Deng should get a boost.

Far from it - there are plenty of ratings and bio changes in v1.03. Joe Johnson should be rated 80 for Defensive Awareness; I'm guessing the patch didn't install correctly for you. But there are quite a few ratings changes in the latest version. It's not the mass rating update that I'm planning for the new year though.

Strange, the code should definitely work. I guess I'll have to do some editing so that everything's unlocked within the files modified by the patch.

I did make a mistake in the last update, but that was starting Kenny Anderson and Royal Ivey. The latest boxscore (at the time of release) had Royal Ivey and Josh Smith starting in the backcourt. I will be sure to double-check the lineup in v1.04 (though I did for v1.03; that one just slipped by). Josh Smith will of course be included in the mass re-rating.

More or less. I'll be correcting a lot of Awareness ratings. A lot of the tweaks might not be evident in the Overall Rating as I'm sure a lot of the changes will balance each other out.

Noted. (Y)

Thanks for the comments everyone, v1.04 should be a good update though. ;)

Coming from a man who has played NBA Live since before NBA Live was NBA Live...

THIS IS PHENOMENAL!!!

This game is now officially fun, i can run a real season now!

GREAT WORK, MAN!!!!

Sun Dec 26, 2004 6:12 am

great update as always andrew!!!! :D
in the next one, can you take off Dwight Howard's headband???
And remember the Lue-Barry trade
cheers!

Sun Dec 26, 2004 7:15 am

I'm using your roster so thanks for the hook up man!

Peace!

Sun Dec 26, 2004 5:05 pm

Thanks for the rosters Andrew :).

If Mourning is a 72 FG (which should be lowered to around 64) and Marshall is a 68 FG, then Bosh should be right around 66.

Mon Dec 27, 2004 3:22 am

Thanks for the patch Andrew. It's always exciting waiting for the next NLSC roster patch release.

Here is the latest trade:
Atlanta Hawks acquire Tyron Lue from Houston Rockets for Jon Barry.

Don't forget to update your rosters guys.

One thing I've noticed so far, BRAD MILLER is somewhat overrated. He's just so good...In fact, better than Shaq. His midrange shots rarely miss. I think he's not that good, especially when contested. Perhaps you may wanna check on this.

Mon Dec 27, 2004 9:00 am

Andrew, is there something I'm doing wrong that would cause the latest update to not take effect? My updated rosters definitely have Joe Johnson as a 37 defensive awareness. I'm playing with your uninjured rosters.

Mon Dec 27, 2004 4:35 pm

That's strange, I made that change to the Uninjured rosters too. Check the regular version, if the change hasn't been made there something has definitely gone wrong with the installation.

Mon Dec 27, 2004 6:05 pm

I think an 80 in D Awareness may be a little high for Joey J? Seeing as Andrei Kirilenko has a 74, Tayshaun Prince has a 75 and Desmond Mason has a 75... Joey should be 70-75 compared to them. Or either Tayshaun and Mason should be 80 with Joey at 75.

While i'm on the topic of Defensive awareness ratings... here are some things i stumbled upon.

Mickael Pietrus is 50 for DA.
James Posey is 61.
Nesterovich is 34.
Tony Battie is 29
Kirilenko is 74.

They should all be around 75 except for Kirilenko who should be about 85.

Nesterovic currently plays like an ***hole, I think that his 34 ratings, even if we're talking of defense, is almost well deserved. A little boost should be correct, but nothing more.

Andrew, I downloaded your rosters again right now and the uninjured rosters had the update of Joe Johnson and so did the roster set starting with NLSC. I believe the other one wasn't updated yet. Thanks for all the hard work your doing!
