FshX error

I was following the player portrait tutorial and I extracted the fsh file. I went to the FshX program and tried to open the extracted fsh and it told me "Could not open file - maybe you are trying to load an older fsh file not supported by this program".

I got all the utilities from this website and I'm using NBA Live 2005 -what am I doing wrong?

Try decompressing the .fsh file with EAGE when saving it...

It was because the utility was not in the same folder as the file I was editing. So I got that one worked out.

But now I'm puzzled about something else...

The tutorial says " Your created player already in the game, with the correct dbf editing done (PLYRPKG, 1D7, ISCREATED, etc.)." Where is the tutorial for that stuff? I have no idea which db file to open and which values I'm supposed to change.

Ok, I got my picture in the splash screens by editing ISCREATED to false, but then the actual player's head turned purple! Does it look for a custom face? I put ISCREATED back to true, but then I had the generic splash screen face.
