I HAVE A PROBLEM!!!!!

Tue Dec 14, 2004 7:52 am

and my problem is the guys on here. Why is it when someone asks a question about patching/modding you guys get so damn bitchy!!!

I am just gettin into patching and regardless what anyone says the guides on here are not for newbs. Most of the guides are for people who know somethingabout patching. Before most of you got into patching/modding, you didnt know anything either (most will believe that they woke up and knew everything).

These guides are not hard to follow but at the same time they are not precise or should I say "Newbie friendly" A lot of guys wouldnt mind posting a bit more but the typical response is "Read newb!!" or "Use that thing called a search button!!" and stupid stuff of that nature.

I have read "almost" everything in 2005 patching and most of 2004 and even the stuff at .org (why do i have to wait 3 weeks to post?) and still have questions.

If you are here to help, then help. But if you are not here to help, please dont post.

And to all who says shut up newb. Ive been here since the old black and blue no avatar, no sig, no nothing days........

How about you guys add a "newb patching/modding/?" forum.

Because they have already been asked and answered over and over, and useless threads mess up the forum.

You mean step by step, visual references with every step carefully explained isn't good enough. Most of the time people have problems its because they don't actually read all of it, they just skip ahead. If you actually take some time to play around with the programs instead of just jumping into attempting patches, you will have success.

If anyone ever took that advice, we wouldn't have many of these problems.

No one else has that problem, maybe you weren't logged in or you were banned.

Well posting dozens of useless threads with easily accesible info questions doesn't count as helping either.

How about you guys add a "newb patching/modding/?" forum.

That's what the stickies are for in the patching section.

Any other complaints?
