Gameplay - What do they all mean?

Sun Dec 12, 2004 11:27 am

I was wondering if someone could let me know some of/ all of the gameplay sliders and what they mean. More to the point, what the 100 rating will do compared with a 0 rating.

A few that could be explained are:

Boundary Force Field - The higher the number, the more chance he ahs of going over the line???

User Dunk vs. Lay-up - A rating of 0 means they do dunks all the time? or is that 100.

User Fakeout Discipline - What is a Fakeout?

User Dunk Percentage
User Layup Percentage - Is this the percentage of it going in when they dunk/layup?

All of this isn't explained anywhere - Some of them are self explanatery - User Shot Block Ability - obviously the higher the number, the more chance the user has of blocking a shot...but others are strange

Boundary force field- theres a little force field around out of bounds. When you are heading out it kind of pushes you back so its not that easy to step out.

Dunk vs layup- the higher this is, the more dunks are made when choosing between dunks and layups. The lower this is, more layups are attempted as opposed to dunks.

Fakeout discipline- when you use freestyle, your defender plays a 'beat' animation. The higher this is, the less often he gets beat, 100 means don't play beat animation at all. Try setting CPU fakeout to 0, then bust some freestyle on him and see what I mean.

Dunk and Layup percentage are how often those shots fall.

So if you set the CPU fakeout thing to zero, you can cross him up?

and if you put the USER fakeout thing to zero the CPU can blow by you?
